This is simply the best purchase I've ever made to upgrade my baby. I learned to drive on stick on my parents' cars, and I've been driving stick in my own cars since the 1990's. So I was a bit skeptical at first that a simple weighted knob would make a significant difference in my driving experience. But after trying the weighted knob, I can honestly say that shifting has become absurdly smooth and easy - and I was already well practiced at smoothly shifting.The knob is also gorgeous and has a good enough surface finish when I grip it with my hand that I don't need driving gloves. That being said, if you're in a state like Texas, I'd strongly suggest that you go with the white color and not black; the knob is made of metal after all, and after sitting in the hot sun for hours in a closed car in the summer, you can burn your hand on black metal. I can say that this morning it was pretty chilly and the knob was cold too - so maybe a black knob in the great frozen north? ( I'll update this in the summer when I see how the white color does in the heat )Installation was reasonably easy except that it it took a bit of trial and error to get the knob in just the right position so that the diagram for the gears was fully horizontal while the knob was also screwed in all the way. The adapter that came with it is also of lowish quality - it was resisting screwing on flush and wanted to be at an angle (problem with the threading?). So instead of installing it by hand, I had to tighten it with a wrench and due to the pressure/torque on it from the pliers' jaws, tiny bits of metal flaked off the adapter.The knob itself is of very high quality construction though, and it seems to be seated perfectly even though the adapter isn't all that impressive.If you drive stick and haven't tried a weighted shifter knob, buy one. You won't regret it.

Initial impression is great. Looks good and feels great. Will update after a few months of use.Update 26 Feb 2022: this is how the shift knob should have come from the factory. Liked it so much I bought another for my car.

Love it and it’s a lot heavier then most other shift knobs! Improves shifts and makes the drive better “shifts like butter”

Feels super good just doesn’t line up right which is a huge thing to me, maybe not others tho! Might also just be my product that doesn’t line up right tape usually fixes it but with this one it makes it rattle idk

The line isn't straight across. It's like someone folded a piece of foil and it looks like a double line. It would be a five star if it didn't have this flaw.
