Incredible jacket at an incredible price.
I have four of these jackets. One is a medium that I use in warm weather as a rain or foul weather jacket.I have one that I use as an overcoat for dual sport motorcycle riding while it is either raining or when it is very cold out. I got a spare one as an anniversary present as the first one I had ever gotten is now over 5 years old so my wife got me a new one even though the old one still works quite well. They are both 2XL so they fit over a 12V heated Tourmaster synergy pro jacket, an insulated motorcycle shell, sometimes a Leatt 6.5 Pro chest protector and then the Tru Spec jacket. Finally, I use another 2XL as an overcoat over my heavy insulated snowmobile jackets during snowmobile or ski season as neither the wind nor the snow, nor the rain, will get through the coat. All the pockets are fantastic as are the massive underarm vents for any time temps rise and I don't have the time or ability to remove the jacket and carry it around while traveling or playing. My wife and both kids each have a jacket as well. I also have two pairs of the matching pants as they are just so durable and waterproof/windproof.

Highly reccomend this to anyone wanting/needing a new weatherproof parka.
I love this parka! The only downside to it is that the inner zippers for combining a fleece liner to it are too small to use my issue gen 3 liner. Granted this is a Gen 2 parka, and they are also made by different companies, but I've been unable to even find a liner for it that is for sale so far. Anyways, enough about the liner problems. The parka is very well built looking and feeling. The only issue I have with it other than the liner zippers, is the pull cord at the top (for around your head/face, is placed right in the back of your neck. That's not a good place for it in my honest opinion. I do however recommend this to anyone, it's a great parka. And it does what it's supposed to do, keep out the wind and rain... Now that I have had a chance to get the liner that is made for this parka, I give it 5 stars. I highly recommend this to anyone!

waterproof
This is an excellent and durable rain jacket. It is not quite as heavy as first gen ecwcs jacket. This works well for work and I have the matching pants. Fit is oversized like ecwcs so there is plenty of room to add a fleece liner and layer underneath..

Simply Ok
4 stars for fait attempt at tru spec version of Gortex. Has all the zippers and pockets in right places, waterproof and lighter and slightly thinner than original (1st generation) Gore tex parka issued by US Army. This Parka top however, is quite a bit larger than needed for multiple layering to be worn underneath, and its hood is so large that even with a Kevlar helmet, its still too large such that it drapes over face obstructing frontal view. In terms of oversizing, thats not such a deal breaker so this jacket will be retained. If purchasing the trouser version, it made no sense that tru spec would size it too small, preventing its use as an outer layer because putting on silkies and fleece trousers would make it too tight. Overall, im quite disppointed with this tru spec for said charactaristics. Furthermore, this top, although taped at seams, has no full liner underneath. This liner helps to creat a slippery layer which enhances ease of movement and also serves to peotect the taped seams. As i see it. If one is carrying a heavy load like a Ranger Ruck, those taped seams will separate. You see, the original USGI goretex came with a fill liner and mine is still holding up well, and has endured multiple deployements as an Infantry officer. Overall, i believe that for this product, it is overpriced and a better alternative is to purchase original is sue goretex, gen 1-gen3. Im returning the bottom and i would do same for top had return window were still available.

My new favorite backpacking jacket for cooler weather
So I picked up the tan Tru-Spec parka this past weekend, and I love it. It’s about half the packing size and less weight of a similar jacket I had, but it’s a great weight and size for above freezing temps. Totally waterproof, hood rolls up into the collar, and it has pockets everywhere. Nice goretex-type material for durability and weather resistance. Rolled up into a nice compact size and fit in my 72 hour pack perfectly without sacrificing much space. I like the parka length because even the regular length went below my beltline. That with my rain pants should be a good combo, and with a pullover layer on underneath, I would sleep in it. It’s not insulated with padding, but it has a reflective layer inside. Good mobility in it, and it was plenty warm with just a t-shirt on but light enough that I won’t sweat in it. A t shirt, pullover jacket, and this jacket over that would be a great light winter setup for staying plenty warm and dry.

Brilliant Garment for the Price
Great jacket for the price. This is just a shell, it's not lined in anyway. It is definitely waterproof and has some great design features like under arm zippers to ventilate if you get too hot. Lots of pockets for stuff and a stow away hood. You can buy a fleece lining that attaches by snap studs and a front zipper which turns this shell into a warm coat, I've done this and the fleece which is around $45 works fine. I'm 6ft 2, weigh179 lb and have a 34' waist. I purchased the Large/Long.

Don't Order your military size.
I loved the ECWS jackets so much, but the only one I had available was Army ACU which was inappropriate for use at our state park. I finally broke down and bought Tru-Spec's Gen 2 in Coyote/Brown. The jacket is lighter and despite my military size as a Large Regular, the Tru-Spec is a little tighter and smaller. It hangs just to my hip joint and the sleeves stop at my first thumb joint. My military cut is longer in the sleeve and cape, going to my knuckles in the sleeve and to my crotch/mid-thigh. The military ECWS is a little roomier (until you add the liner) and is designed to be worn with a base layer, level 1 shirt, liner and parka exterior. The Tru-Spec fits but over a shirt and maybe a sweater. I debated whether to return for a larger size or keep the "sportier" size for day-to-day wear.If you want the military size/cut order one size up.BTW: I decided to keep the jacket as I may spend all day long outside in the rain, but I go in at night. In the military, we would be out in the field for days or weeks at a time. The extra room is necessary.

As expected
as read in other comments excellent product to face bad weather but for use in colder places an interior lining is required

Excelente calidad
Tiene un color muy bonito, buena opción si se consigue con un buen descuento. No apto para climas muy cálidos porque se concentra el vapor corporal.
