Nice Powerpack with good weatherproofing and easy setup
This is a nice power pack with good weatherproofing. I tried a couple others that have keypads on exposed surfaces and eventually had water damage or total unit failure. I have used Malibu before, so I decided to try this pack. It is well weatherproofed, with all controls under a flip-up cover. No water is ever getting near the controls or the display. This pack is also very easy to setup. I use the Dusk-on/Time-off mode, which is perfect for our lighting. I would recommend this power pack.

don't say it's broken until you try to fix it
I've had the Malibu 200 watt low voltage transformer for 5 years now. It started working improperly about a month ago. Couldn't set the time, or the ON/OFF time. I came here, read all the bad reviews and figured it was shot, so I ordered a new one. Which showed up overnight. I read the instructions and figured I'd try them with the old one before installing the new one. Ta. Da. I pressed the Reset button a couple times, cleaned the spider webs off the photo eye, and read how to set the clock and the timer. And it works just fine. So now I have to send the new one back. Fine by me, even if I have to eat the shipping charges. If yours doesn't seem to work right, press the red Reset button underneath. Wipe the photo eye clean. To set the clock, turn the selector knob to CLOCK, then press and hold the white clock button and the up/down buttons. To set the ON/OFF timers, turn the selector knob to TIMER, then press and hold the TIMED ON or TIMED OFF buttons and the up/down buttons. I'm going to write this down on a card and tape it inside the unit's door. Duh on me.I'm also replacing my landscape lights halogen bulbs with LED ones. They use just 4w instead of 30w, so the load on the transformer will be a lot less, and I expect it will then last just about forever. The bulbs last years too, instead of the 8 months I get out of the bargain brand halogens.

Good replacement for existing failed Malibu light ransformer
Exact replacement for an existing transformer. Simple installation with no need to change wall anchors. It took less than 3 minutes to lift off old transformer, unplug AC Plug, disconnect and connect the two low-voltage wires and reinstall on wall.

200 W Transformer did not survive winter- <1 Year old; all Support Numbers try to sell you something
Product has failed in less than a year. Nice warm weather today went out to check my landscape lights on one side of the house that were NOT Lighting. Looked at the transformer that was powered up - indicator for the turn switch was working, but the digital clock was dead - tried to reset the transformer, tried to power it off for a few minutes - then back on, but the clock never came back. Called the customer support number on the 1 yr warranty page, as well as another that I googled for Malibu Customer Support, as well as another that were in the transformer instructions. All were different and all went to a person trying to sell me something E.G First Alert device - knew nothing about Malibu products - BUYER BEWARE for purchasing ANY Malibu Products

Working As It Should
Bought as a replacement for one of another “good” brand that died after 14 months. Guess we’ll see if this one is more durable.

Works well out-of-the-box
I love this unit. I already have a five-year-old 120 watt unit which still works well. I added some lights so I thought I'd buy a larger unit this time. I wanted a mechanical on-off switch because I control my lights through a separate system. Good thing because I cannot get the duck-to-dawn sensor to work. Curiously, I could not get it to work on my 120 watt unit - even after exchanging it for a new one. I don't care because I'm not using that feature (I have everything on timers), but it would be nice to have. The unit is compact and works well with every type of light and hundreds of feet of wire around my property.

Nice Power Pack for the price
This is a real nice Power Pack for the price and easy to install and setup. The only CON is the timer is a little difficult to set. I understand that it has more features that the old type with the push-on stop for the time but takes a bit to get it setup. Other than that, it works perfectly with my landscape lights.
