GVS SPR482 Elipse Multigas Mask with Replacement Filters, M/L

I really like the dust only filters this company offers. They are small and work well. So, I tried this unit for spraying finish in my spray booth. I really wanted to like it. It fits nicely on my face, but there are two deal breaking problems. And these make me immediately go back to my 3M unit. Number one, the head strap sucks. It wants to slide forward or backward. The 3M unit has a double strap unit for the crown of your head. That doesn't move no matter what. A far superior strap. Second, VISIBILITY! SUCKS! The 3M unit has MUCH MUCH better visibility over this unit. With this, you cannot see directly down. You have to tilt your head. That's ridiculous. It needs a major redesign before I try this again. I will be returning this immediately.( I own a custom cabinet shop and have been spraying motorcycles, cars, furniture and cabinetry since 1986. I know what I'm talking about here. I am a trueprofessional.)

I use it for organic gas-filter.... meaning it does NOT work for man-made or non-organic gasses.IE: onion and other ORGANIC gases involved.Paint and other chemicals are NOT organic and people fail to understand what is Organic.Virus is another matter, but it should filter it... due to filter design and how small virus is.I'd be comfortable with this is a situation when lot of people are infected.Naturally people would laugh at you, but you'd be lees likely to get the virus. Don't even matter if you put on two of those cheap masks, you'd be still exposed due to the GAPS between your face and the mask!The quality of this mask is a bit low, due to the small design failures.... NOT a major issue.The small plastic clip to hold the filters is broken... the way it comes sometime. I just used a nylon fishing line and secured it. It's even better than a clip. Not worth it to send it back.... just improvise.I'd buy this again, broken clip or not.M solution is much better anyway and more secure.... fishing line holds securely the filters. I may have left another review on these masks as I buy more.The fit and SEAL on the face is perfect.... and I have a skinny face :)If you have a fuller face it should be even better.... a little face fat don't hurt ...
