Original S.W.A.T. Alpha Fury 8" Side Zip

UPDATE: After a warranty replacement about 6 months ago, the second pair didn't have the same problem with the toe area collapsing, but now the side areas are peeling. Even with these problems, I still like this boot. But, I have to accept the fact they are good for 6 months and not much more. The tread design is excellent and the boot is light, quick and flexible. The zipper on both pair have been flawless. This would be a good summer boot or similar. They also don't scream tactical and with a bit of boot black, can be touched up as needed. I may purchase these again, but at this point will consider them light duty and good for only 6 months. For a little more money, there are better boots available, but these do have their place. END UPDATE I'm on my feet many hours and on hard surfaces and these boots are excellent. No break in was required. The tread pattern is excellent and slip resistant in the real world. My last pair of Original SWAT Metro's lasted a year of hard use and these Alpha's might just become my goto boot. They are faster, lighter and you really don't need to polish them. A little boot black touch up goes a long way on the Alpha. UPDATE: I had these on my feet for 8 days straight, right out of the box, no break in. This was for up to 12 hours per day on concrete and ceramic floors, sometimes even wet and greasy floors. Metal treads were no problem. Excellent grip. Zero issues then and now. They are a perfect three season boot and are stupid easy to keep clean. Just use a boot brush and some water, then add a dab of black boot polish to the already wet brush and have at it. A little on the zipper goes a long way. This also help propel light rain, etc.

These boots are great. I buy them for my husband once a year when his old ones are worn out. He likes being able to both zip and tie them, allowing for adjustability and comfort. They’re lightweight and fit well with his work uniform. They start showing wear around 8 months or so, with heavy use, but it’s about the 12-month mark when we have to replace them. Highly recommend and will definitely purchase again.

Another Update: Now on my 5th pair..... these are the only thing i wear for work as well as everday stuff. You cant go wrong with these boots!! UPDATE: Just ordered my 3rd pair!!! I wear these daily for work and play. They average about 2 years before needing replaced for me. I just dont think you can go wrong with these boots! Very comfortable and well made! Wow! I hesitated buying these. Glad I purchased them! Very comfortable, light weight and seem very well constructed. I norm a!!my buy boots from a competitor but liked the looks of these. So my opinion is ... Buy them, you won't regret it!!!! Update: bought a second pair because of their quality and comfort. Now I have 1 pair for casual and the other dor work. It's like wearing tennis shoes and I love that!

The boots were quite small, but I’m not sure if that’s why I had trouble getting them on. I think it may have also been the stiffness of the new material. The tread looks great, but I was unable to try it out. The zipper works nicely. The ankle might have the support I was looking for, but it’s hard to tell since they were too small for me. I’m glad I thought to order through Amazon, otherwise I would not have had the option to return them. I plan to try a different size.

Very comfortable but loud clicks from the toes!! So disappointing. I can’t be stealth with that noise!

My first pair of Original SWATs were a second- hand pair from Goodwill with almost no tread left. I wore them for 2 years before the soles wore through completely. My second pair, I bought brand new. They fell apart 53 weeks later and the company refused to warranty them. After 2 years and 3 other pairs of cheap boots, I tried these again. They fit great. Better than any other boot I've ever had. The side zip is long enough that you can put the boot on and take it off without touching the laces. They're still very good boot. But the quality and durability is no longer there. After 10 months, the new ones are splitting ahead of the arch, where the foot flexes. You won't find a better fit, especially if you have wide feet. And the zip actually functions like it should. But, you're not buying "boots", you're buying a "shoe" that you will throw away in a year

Me gustó el Calzado.

Utilisation au boulot (pénitentiaire) ultra confortable légère. Le zip est solide, achat depuis 1an pas d’usure pas de déformation. Pas de transpiration. Une bonne chaussqui va durer et confortable pour mes pieds et mon dos. Ne sonne pas au portique.

These are a great fitting boot, true to their size. They are good for a wider foot and they have great breathability. The side zipper makes for great on and off or airing out. But if you like to wear your boots very tight the ankle makes it hard to slip on. Overall, these are a great boot. I would buy these with a steel toe next time. Like them a lot.
