Emmaline and the Bunny

Colorful pics on each page make this more like a picture book - yet it has chapters and might take a few sittings to read it all. Delightfully playful language and a heartwarming story with themes rooted in ecology, questioning rigid authority, and seeking out love and happiness.The book is magical and beautiful. It reads like poetry. It's a perfect read-aloud story with young kids or as an early reader chapter book for age 6-7.I can't believe more people haven't reviewed this yet; I would have expected more reviews. I've been raving about it to all the other parents I know and have loaned it out to several friends. I highly recommend you get this book. It's definitely owning and enjoying over and over again.

I love this story. Heart warming and sweet.

I have not personally seen this book, but I sent it to my 7-year-old granddaughter who just happens to be named Emmaline. She sent me a wonderful thank you note with her hand-drawn picture of the book and a note "I just loooooooove this book!" So with that enthusiastic and authentic response to a special birthday present, I think I can say this is a great book for a 7-year-old.

WE GAVE IT TO OUR FIRST GREAT GRANDCHILD, EMMALINE GRACE. WE KNOW SHE WILL ENJOY IT AS SHE GETS OLDER.

This was my daughter's first chapter book and IT IS AWESOME! We read it at both nap time and bed time for a period of 4 days. She loved the story and so did I!
