If you are looking for a really large blanket or towel, this is not it. This is a very large, light weight nylon sheet. Think of it like a large nylon flag or light weight camping tent material. This is a great choice of material for sand because a towel or blanket just holds sand, where as this material makes it so easy to brush off or flip it off, like snapping a bed sheet. We have used it twice and it was supper easy to get the sand off of it.It folds very easily and stows easily and neatly into it's storage bag. Washing it has been easy as well, we washed it alone in cold water on a delicate cycle. The spin cycle alone almost dried it but we put it on the clothes line to dry it completely.After 2 uses with a family of 4, we have seen no signs fraying, holes or stretching. The edges of the whole sheet are bordered with a heavy duty nylon and sewn very well. There are also nylon loops sewn in the corner to hook on to the provided metal anchors which helps keep the sheet in place while people move on it or when no one is in it and there are winds to contend with. Our end time out, there was some wind and the anchors really did their job.All in all, I recommend this product, it is a great beach companion and could also be used for picnics, if being on grass directly, is not your thing.

The beach blanket is super lightweight, thin and very portable. It can fit a family of four comfortably and it’s also really easy to clean and dust of. It comes with a bag to store the blanket as well as the pegs to keep it in place. I’ve used it a couple of times now and there haven’t been any wear and tear so far!
