A wise and fresh take on universal copywriting truths
John Bejakovic held my interest from the beginning to end of this book. A master of his craft, he skillfully intertwines core principles with relevant examples from copywriting lore. This is a man I intend to learn more from. I’ve joined his mailing list and am wishing him long life. His style is nspirational and compelling, and his content shows his deep love of this evolving craft.

excellent book
Short and very pertinent. Loaded with the names of hugely successful giants of the copywriting world and the titles of their successful books. I read the book on Kindle and highlighted many great bits of advice and the names of the great writers sharing advice. If you write ad copy for a living or hope to do so, buy this book.

whisper whisper: "If you're learning copy, pick it up"
This book is exceptional. Here's why:Writing copy is just a matter of following a few universal "laws". Problem is, if you're learning, or worse, just starting out, you have to first:1. Discover what those "laws" are, then;2. Believe, you yourself, that those laws you just discovered, are indeed "laws" which should be heeded.John's book gives you those "laws"—in condensed, edited, and raw form. He calls them commandments and they are indeed commandments. Most importantly, the author gives you something few other copy books do: THE SOURCE of the law and examples of it in use—the critical piece needed for you, the copy cub to ferment the law in your mind. Also, other quick gold is in there too—stuff I didn't even think about until I saw it like:- what to insert at top or bottom of paragraph to make them read next one (pg 44)- a mechanism Schwartz didn't know about (pg 38 )- How to start talking about one thing (that's interesting), then transition to at another (the thing you're selling) when trying to get a skeptical market to read lots of material, then buy your stuff (pg 29 )Thanks John.

Good Stuff Here
A quick, easy read with great quotes, a bunch of other books it guides you to read, and evergreen information based on psychology and proven results. It’s got a soft but classy pitch for the author’s newsletter leveraging a bunch of the commandments right there in your face. He practices what he preaches.

Possibly 400 years of copywriting experience condensed into 40 pages
Short. Snappy. Powerful. How powerful? Powerful enough to keep me coming back 7 times.P.S. Commandment VI is my favourite — it isn’t even really about copywriting

Solid read. You can easily get through this book in one sitting. Love how he uses a lot of his commandments within the book itself. Great examples, great writing.Didn't know anything about the author before picking this up. I can say I'm a fan of his work now.

Brilliant collection of wisdom
I joined John's daily mailing list a couple of weeks ago after finding his blog online.Seeing he's just came out with a book like this for a few bucks made it a no brainer to me.It was quick and easy to read.I think John's a great writer. He's also a great thinker, and clearly great at what he does (copywriting, marketing, influence & persuasion). He's collected some of the best ideas from the best copywriters in the world...Brought them together, provided further examples and stories of his own...And added his own goodness as well.I've already got a bunch of awesome ideas for my own business.Highly recommended for improving the quality of your marketing and sales.
