RI Novelty Jumbo Growing Dinosaur Egg

My 4 1/2 year old son loved this dinosaur egg! We put it in water and every day it hatched a little more and he couldn't wait to check it out in the morning and after pre-school to see how much progress had been made. It took 5 days and we finally had to pull it out of the remainder of the shell since no more progress on the "hatching" was being made (it was about 4/5 out of the shell). Not great to play with afterwards as the Dino shrinks after taking it out of the water and it remains slimy for quite a number of days, but we bought it to watch it hatch and that it did well!

I was pleased but also saddened by this growing dinosaur egg. It took a very long time to "hatch". It's true that eggs in real life take a long time but when you have a child who wants their dinosaur now...it can be frustrating.It was fun to watch the little guy grow once he was hatched, but he didn't do very much growing once he was free of his egg.I would recommend this to someone who has patience.

The egg was a little cracked when we received it, but not enough to see inside. We put it in a pitcher of water and checked on it every morning and night for a few days. My 21 month old was so excited every time we checked on the egg. When the dinosaur started to poke out, he got even more interested. The Dino toy grew to be about the length of my hand, and it's the perfect size for him to play with. We'll probably be buying another one of these in the future since he was so impressed with this one.

I bought this as a gag gift for my husband and it was actually really cool! Watching the dino hatch out of the egg was fun, but mine didn't turn out like the one in the photo- it is just a solid color.

The egg wouldn't hatch in the water after a week (the directions say 2 days) so I had to crack it by hand. The dinosaur inside was unrecognisable and didn't grow to be very big. My kid enjoyed it but I don't think it was a very good buy.

My son is addicted to these slimy, nasty things. They are disguating, yet he has to have them. Why argue with a 5 yr old...just throw them away when they go to bed!

This was a very deceiving description. The egg came in a plastic bag, not a box! The egg was cracked all over. The shell was stuck and wouldn't come off some parts. The dinosaur looked like a yellow blob. It never grew. My grandson waited for the egg and was very excited to watch it hatch and grow.what a huge disappointment! Try to explain to a four year old that the product was junk!

I ordered this for my kids and decided to take it to my daughters preschool so that they can all see it hatch. It was like a project. Every day they came to school eager to see how much it hatched. I am very satisfied with the toy and Im glad I decided to share it with her class
