All-around monitor
First let me explain my use cases. I mainly use this monitor for coding (8+ hours per day) and few hours for either steaming or casual gaming. So I need a monitor that can provide clear text and some sort of eye protection to reduce eye strain. Most importantly, I can finally unleash my gpu power with a proper 4k monitor. Also, this monitor is capable of providing 65w USB-C power charging and DP-ALT mode, and that's productivity bonus for my work because I can use one of the monitors to display content on the ipad while charging. After weeks of daily routine, I find myself can't live without it. The vivid color and brightness (with HDR set to Auto in the OSD) is perfect for my use. The text is clear and I can code for hours without getting headache.Since I'm not a color professional or a competitive gamer, so I can't really comment on color or refresh rate. However, for PC games, (been playing Niho recently) , I have not experience any input lag or ghosting with most of the setting in factory default.Based on some reviews stated the HDMI is defaulted to 2.0, and I think there is a reason for that. I found in order for my receiver (Onkyo tx-rz800) to display picture to the monitor, the HDMI had to set to 2.0 from the OSD. I guess Acer is trying to accommodate older devices by default? For the panel quality, I did not spot any dead pixels (or maybe the pixel is just too small for me to spot it) on my two monitors. I am glad I don't have to go thru the panel lottery like I used to have.If you happen to update the monitor firmware, you can tell that the new firmware is now defaulting the HDMI to 2.1, I guess it is based on a good number of users use this monitor for console gaming. That means, If you are getting this monitor with later factory date, you may be getting ones with the new firmware.Overall, this is the best monitor I've purchased so far and I highly recommend XV282k if you have similar use cases like me. Good job Acer!

mighty monitor!
razor sharp and capable of much more brightness and contrast than expected, plus the refresh rate and response time is remarkable. Not even a hint of ghosting in fast motion. if you've got a top-tier graphics card that can push 4k with reasonable framerates in your favorite games, don't hesitate to buy this. $450 was a steal!Outside of gaming i'm also using this for work. Finding it really useful for cable management, hook the included USB-C from my Dell work laptop directly to the monitor, and that's the only cable needed to dock it. Keyboard and mouse run into the back of the monitor, it runs at 4k and even supplies power to keep the laptop charged!a secondary USB-A/B cable is supplied, and that runs to my gaming desktop completing the keyboard/mouse KVM. Use either DP or HDMI to get video there, both cables included.this model advertises an Acer tech they call "Agile-Splendor IPS" ... i'm not certain how it differs or how it works, but from the youtube reviews i've seen, i'm convinced it cuts down on response time. I believe this to be much faster than the advertised 1ms.Also in the box was a color calibration testing report with my serial number on it, seems each one is tested and recalibrated for Delta E < 1.0 in sRGB scale.

The 1440p 170Hz 27" Monitor is a Great Monitor
If you're curious there is a 165Hz setting and 10 bit color can be enabled with 170Hz I'm not sure if that is supposed to enabled at 170Hz since it seems to be over the Gbps limit of DisplayPort 1.2 but it might be because the quality is higher than standard. My graphics card is capable of DisplayPort 1.4 so even if the Gbps limit is higher than DP 1.2 requires, it would still be fine. After trying both 31.5" and 27" sizes I recommend 27". 31.5" inches is just too large for 1440p and the pixels are larger that my 1080p 21.5" monitor so I recommend 27". The bottom button on the monitor is a thumbstick which is MUCH better that just a normal button. It makes menu navigation SIGNIFICANTLY easier and makes the other buttons easy to find without looking. The colors are beautiful and it is G-Sync compatible. My review for the XV320QU 1440p 31.5" is 1 star since it arrived with a dead pixel and I noticed that it has a weird blue flickering at the bottom of the screen which I initially thought was a software problem with my graphics card or bios as some online sources said but it was the monitor since it's not happening on my new 27" monitor though it may have also been a compatibility issue with Nvidia cards.

Unbelievable value for what you get at this price
I am a huge supporter and advocate for this monitor. I use it with a work Dell, personal and private practice MacBook Pro M1 Pro and iPad Pro (M1), and occasionally with a Nintendo switch. I have my external Drive connected through this as well for time machine. This thing does everything, keeps all of my devices charged (very quickly, I have not once used my MagSafe or work laptop charger in 2 years!). The speakers are whatever but I would never use monitors through speakers anyways since you should probably have better headphones or speakers or your laptop speakers might even still be better than speakers. Fortunately if you like you can also connect your speakers through this monitor even via 3.5mm. You can connect multiple outputs as well while charging USB devices or transferring data or connecting external devices like WebCams or synthesizers or mini controllers or USB keyboards and mice.Could not recommend this thing enough. It looks stunning, MacBook Pro runs 120 promotion And this monitor runs beautifully at 144 in 4k. Clear reduction is pretty decent but could be better. Also at the size you might want to step back a bit further because it’s hard to see the edges, where it might be nice for it to be curved a little. Either way this Price is unbelievable you can get some thing that meets almost everything You want for a laptop + monitor setup. I’m keeping this monitor for years.
