Its a cool experience but the trick is adding more hot water when the mixture gets too thick. The direction are very poor. Please follow the video.Overall it was cool for a 7 year old.Note you can keep the tank mixture for a few days, you can only do 2 batches so make as many as you can the first time around. Adding hot water before the gel has contact with the calcium lactic acid is very important if its too thick.Also check allergies if your kid has any!!!!

The directions were obviously translated from an Asian language but left out key parts especially in identification of chemicals and measurements. The parts of the structure were not clearly labeled and the procedures were very unclear. You are left to figure it out on your own. The one sea animal we made never hardened and it left your hands colored by the dye. I had to throw the entire mess away leaving my child in tears.

The setup looks good, but the instructions are unclear and the end product is gelatinous globs not recognizable animals. Do not buy this.
