Best of the Bunch
Speaking as a high school AP Physics teacher, this book serves as a supremely useful tool in helping me prepare my students for the AP exam. Not only does it include two high-quality, full-length practice tests, complete with comprehensive explanations, but each chapter of the book includes about a dozen high-quality, AP-style multiple-choice questions AND three or four superb free-response questions. Personally, I'm not that interested in the tutorial sections of the book as any algebra-based college-level textbook is sufficient for reading material and worked examples. That said, the reading sections here are high-quality and concise and can serve as a good quick review for students. My only minor complaint is that there are no scoring guidelines for the free response questions, so you can't calculate your score on the FR questions or use them to develop strategies to maximize your total point score. Still, this is a minor quibble in a book that is easily the best of the four different AP Physics 1 test prep books I've purchased. My ranking of all four AP Physics 1 test prep books I've used:1. Princeton Review (far and away the best)2. 5 Steps to a 5 (purely for the two very good practice tests---outside of that it is not great)3. aplusphysics (awkward format, no practice tests, but still includes some useful AP-style multiple-choice questions)4, Sterling (Utterly useless--not even a real AP Physics 1 book. I'm pretty sure the high reviews for that book are a result of fraud.)

Wonderful text book
Great text book! I bought this book for my son who's in 11th grade. He didn't have a text book for his class. He loves it! He can finally understand and study properly. He is getting 100 on all his exams ever since. What I like the most is that he didn't like physics before and now it's one of his favorites.

Helpfulz
I got a 5 on the exam. This book helps me quite a lot. The exams it contains are really helpful.

Chock full of errors
This review seems as if it was hastily type out by someone who took a crash course in physics and printed without a second review. There are so many errors in here it seems I spend more of my time trying to discern whether or not MY ANSWER was wrong or THE BOOK was wrong than actually reviewing for the test. I know my physics pretty well, but for someone self-studying this book could be devastating on the actual exam. Not the quality I was expecting from Princeton Review. Here are some examples of mistakes I found in the first chapter answer key alone.

5/5
Came like promised! Exams are similar to the actual exam, made practicing a lot smoother. Will be using this for college courses maybe even!

Got a 5, but this book didn't get me there
I got a 5 on the test, but this book was not the reason why. Admittedly, it could not have been the reason why even if it was the greatest book ever. In-class studying and learning is the best route to a 5 (I didn't self study and I wouldn't recommend it... if you want to, then this shouldn't be the only resource you use). This book is great for the month right before the test when you have learned everything but need to jog your memory on how to do stuff that you haven't seen in since the beginning of the year. Do not even bother with the practice questions. They are insanely complicated compared to the actual test and will only serve to discourage you into thinking that you'll need 10 min to do calculator work on every single problem. Instead, use this book to make sure that you know the concepts well and can apply them. The reason I gave this 3 stars is because the practice problems are simply not indicative of the actual test (I knew this before I bought the book, so I didn't waste my time) and because I doubt that it will take anybody from a 4 to a 5. However, if you're smart about it, you can use this book to your advantage like I did.

Excellent book for AP Physics 1 Exam preparation.
Bought this book for my son for preparing for his Grade 12 AP courses - gave him adequate practice for preparing for the course.

Word problems given in each chapter are too little (less than 4) and it would be good to increase to 8 or more
In general the questions are too simple especially on the topic of rotational motion and current circuits. The topic of rotational motion should be separated out from the chapter on circular motion and more examples and problems should be given. Word problems given in each chapter are too little (less than 4) and it would be good to increase to 8 or more.

A good resource for AP Physics 1 Exam
The book nicely covers single-select multiple -choice questions. However, it represents only 45% of AP exam. Multi- select multiple choice questions (5%) are missing. Written response section(50%) is also ignored.
