Smells like Hay (horses would like it). I will keep ordering the apricot and pecan teas but not this one.
Update : 24-feb-2014. I am increasig the rating to 3 stars. This is because of two things: first, the vendor indicates that the tea is supposed to be like this. I can fault the tea if indeed it is as intended. I just don't like it. Second, the vendor did offer to replace the bag with another of my choosing so they are a legit house of business and did what they were supposed to do so that deserves something to. As I indicate below, I get several of the other teas from these people and they are by far the best I have found and at a very reasonable price.Hail Flaviu!Sadly this tea has problems. I also get the apricot and pecan teas. I like these very much. But there must have been something wrong with this one because it smells like hay (you know, the stuff horses and cows eat). At first whiff I found myself in grandpa's barn in Virginia tossing hay bales around. A nice flash back. In any event, I have notified the maker of this tea to let them know. I tried a pot of it anyway to see if it was better cooked but no dice. Well, sometimes you have to try new stuff to find out. I still think their other two teas are the best I can find so will keep getting those but this one is off the list.I got a reply from the vendor. Their response was "it is supposed to be like that". Well I guess so but not for me so. They did offer to replace it but that is too much effort.

Less flavor recently
Elmwood Inn teas are great, but something changed in this blend this year and it is now fairly bland. I switched over to other varieties from this seller and I continue to be impressed with the quality of their teas.

A good black tea
One of my favorite blends. The shop I originally got it from went out of business so I was very pleased to find it here. A very nice strong full body black tea.

Inconsistent in quality
I bought a bag many months ago and it was very good. It had a slightly earthy/barnyard taste with a hint of smokey that took some getting used to, but after I did, I really liked it with some cardamom pods and honey. After we finished a bag in the office, I ordered more. This second bag has no character and is very bland. This is the second tea company on Amazon that lacks consistency. So, it might be good and it might be bland. I had to switch back to Twinings Earl Grey until I can find a suitable china black tea replacement.

Earthy And Full Finish
I love this "barn yard" tea. That is what I call the lovely earthy smell and flavor of teas and cigars. This is one of my go to morning teas.

A Fine Tea Blend from the Renowned Elmwood Inn...
I love this tea-- so much so that I blend it with almost every pot made each and every morning. It reminds me of my many visits to The Elmwood Inn in Danville, Kentucky...ALL of their teas are first rate and world class.Highly recommended!

Good rich tasting tea.
Using the right amount of tea and correct brewing time, produced a tea I enjoy more than Earl Grey or English Breakfast. Nice strong brew, rich flavor with no bitterness.

Nice mix of teas
I love a good breakfast tea - sometimes I want something strong and in-your-face like Assam. Sometimes I want something that gently says 'relax, take a sip and enjoy - then meet you day." This tea is the second variety. I really like the flavor, especially with cream and sweetener.
