Amazing, but really legit. Makes people think and study it to see where the real support is.
I got one of these... then 3 more to use as gifts. While it is delicate and if bumped will fall, or fall apart, placed on a steady level desk it will stand as quite an eye-catcher. Most people think the chains are solid or there is a trick involved, but there is none -- the whole thing rests on the small center chain and is just balanced and tethered in place. This is one of my favorite finds/purchases this year!

Great conversation piece of desk art
I like this relatively inexpensive tensegrity kit that I use to help my 8th grade STEM students understand the need for symmetry and alignment in an unusual static equilibrium structure. We build this kit and then we make our own with the same geometry from craft sticks a glue gun and thread (which is much harder to line-up and get the thread lengths just right, so it helps to have experience with the premade kit).

Not what you get
Nice, fun, little (and I mean little) novelty item.Deducting a star because pictures are misleading. The chain is not black, it is grey.

Easy to assemble impresive little desktop addition
Very easy to assemble and an impressive little physics demonstration. When I first assembled it, the top piece leaned back a bit. I was able to adjust by rotating the connectors at the ends of the long chains to shorten them slightly.

Great for your desk.
I have this on my desk and no one can resist messing with it or asking about it. Plenty of fun and easy to assemble. Great value at for such and inexpensive desk toy.

Everyone is Amazed!
My 10 year old grandson built this right away (he's an accomplished Lego builder) and it balances perfectly.People can't stop playing with it. So many think it's got magnets in it but of course it doesn't, it's just physics!

Awful instructions. Do not buy.
Instruction are so small you need a magnifying glass to see then and even then it is difficult to figure out. Unit is very delicate once assembled and falls apart trying to finish the assembly. Very frustrating. I had to glue pieces to keep it from falling apart I can't recommend this item in any way whatsoever.
