Can you use this on a wig?

Yes. I specifically bought it for my synthic wigs. If you go to Amazon and type in hair detangler for wigs, this product as well as others pop up. It is also sold at most hair product places. I bought this without knowing I had a current bottle already, which can be used for braids. This product is also for both synthetic and human hair. It shines and detangles very well. I also bought a detangle wig brush, specifically for synthetic hair. Hope this helps.

Can this be used as a sub for sprits?

No. It has no holding or sculpting function.
