This is a calculator first, keypad second
The concept of a keypad that doubles as a calculator is great, but if you are primarily looking for a *keypad* that performs secondarily as a calculator, you may want to look elsewhere. The issue is that it takes at least three keypresses to get the keypad ready for computer input: AC/ON to wake from sleep, then Connect to establish a PC connection, then PC/Cal to actually switch to PC input mode. When you're in a rush and just need to input numbers periodically, this sequence gets to be pretty annoying. It does have a nifty function of being able to use it in calculator mode, then hitting the SEND button to send the displayed result to the computer, and the GT button performs a Grand Total of all the previous calculations, but again the effectiveness of these functions is based on this being a calculator first that can send results to a connected computer, rather than a keypad that has calculator functions. The other issue that reduces the effectiveness of this device for me is the fact that the * and / (multiplication and division) keys are not in the typical numeric keypad locations (above the 8 & 9 keys) but are instead in the bottom right corner. The device itself is well made and connected without fuss to a Windows 10 computer; these issues just make it less effective if the purpose is to serve as a numeric keypad.

Got it to work on a MAC!
I purchased this 10 key for my mom and sister to use in their accounting business. They sometimes work with customers computers and laptops that do not have 10 keys.i tested with a windows 7 pc and it worked perfectly.I also tested with a MAC and was actually able to get it to work. When I plugged it in the MAC said it couldn't recognize the keyboard and wanted me to press the buttons to the left and right of the shift keys. I pressed a random button on the 10 key and the MAC said it couldn't recognize the keyboard. Next i was given an option to select what type of keyboard. I selected the qwerty option and instantly the 10 key started to work.Tested and working 100% in quick books on mac and pc.

So I loved this!
UPDATE: The company has reached out to me & informed me that another device is in route. I am very impressed by there customer service & cant wait to try out the new one! Hopefully, this was just a fluke. I will update again once I give the new device a chance. So I loved this!!! I've been using it for a little under a week. I adored the fact that it has a "tab" key which was awesome for excel sheets. However, i just went to use it for the 5th time & had to change the batteries for the 4th time & meanwhile they were just changed yesterday. Put in the new batteries & it still tells me the batteries are dead!!! I put the batteries in something else & they work fine. I'm so disappointed!

I am happy with this Keypad/Calculator for the most part
I am happy with this Keypad/Calculator for the most part. It connects easily and doesn't lose connection constantly like others I have used. It seems well made and doesn't feel too cheap. My only gripe is that it doesn't have a way to switch a number from a negative to a positive and there aren't arrow keys or a way to enter an equals sign in a formula. I use this keypad/calculator with excel spreadsheets or google sheets a lot and would like to be able to move between the different cells with arrow keys. I also use the negative to positive and the equals sign in formulas as well. I feel like I am having to switch between my laptop keyboard and this keypad a little too much. Overall three out of five stars for me.

Good Deal
I like this calculator, I have to use it almost every day for class/work. Once you get the batteries in and connect it to your PC, it's pretty easy to use. It's not much of a pain to switch back and forth, and some others were saying. It's pretty fast, you just hit the PC/California button once it's connected. My only gripe is that the multiplication divisions are in kind of a weird location, but Im getting used to it. Also, you can't put in negative numbers.

Love(d) it!
I love that this is also a calculator. Sad now because I lost the usb connector thing and now it's just a calculator. It did work well before I lost that, just takes a little getting used to, not exactly the same as my full sized computer, but close enough. The holder on the back of the device seemed to hold it well enough that I didn't pay much attention to it and lost it somewhere in transit.

Should have bought this sooner...
Loving this keypad/calculator. I've used it quite a bit already. Made working on my taxes using my laptop a lot easier.Being able to do calculations on the calculator then SEND the result to the computer is a real boon for my productivity.

THIS THING IS AMAZING
I WAS NOT PAID, GIVEN FREE/DISCOUNTED PRODUCT, OR ASKED TO REVIEW THIS.....I just like it a ton.... I am a Retail Buyer, and I do quite a bit of fast computation and a ton of data analysis. This this is a godsend!!Ok, I took this out of the box today, and after using it for a few hours, I felt compelled to get on and write a review about it. First off, the buttons actually feel better to the touch than my actual Victor brand desk calculator, so kudos to them for a well-made product. Also, the weight of this calculator is perfect... Not too heavy, but not too insignificant either. The subtle weight of the calculator combined with the rubber grip feet on the bottom ensure that this calculator will not slide around on your desk when you go to use it, which I was worried about. So, that's the calculator, and we haven't even gotten to the fun part.... Plug the tiny (magnetically-secured) USB receiver into your computer, Press the connect button, and then you are connected. Continue to use the calculator as normal, but you can hit the SEND button to send your current calculator display (or result) to the active field on your computer... Works perfect in Excel... You can also press the PC|CAL button to toggle between Calculator mode to direct input (keypad) mode! While in Keypad mode, you have access to commands such as Escape, Tab, Backspace, in addition to your numeric/calculation keys. This this is genius. My only regret is not discovering it sooner.Lance
