Rollga - High Density Foam Roller for Exercise & Back Pain, 18 inches

(Please note that I received this product at a significant discount for my honest and unbiased review) I also want to mention that this is my 2nd Rollga in the Silver Genesis Modeled version, since my first Rollga I paid full price for. I got this 2nd one at a discount for the review, but I also wanted a backup or to give away as a gift, since I love this roller so much. I also got the Black Pro version of the Rollga for a discount too and will be reviewing it when I receive it in the mail tomorrow. Since I already have weeks of experience with the original Silver Genesis Rollga I bought at full price I will be talking about all that below! I really do love this foam roller! It can be used on practically every muscle group of the body. I really appreciate that the company took the time and effort to make YouTube videos displaying how to use the product appropriately. They even have a video with a truck running over the Rollga and the Rollga still survived! Why does that matter? I don't really know, but it is cool, right?! Also I should mention that I have tried a few rollers in the past such as a simple light intensity foam roller with the normal circular design, but I have also tried foam rollers with spiky designs and such. I love them all because they really do all work, but the Rolla really feels different. Like the description says, the Foam Roller reaches deeper parts of the muscles that normal rollers can't reach. At least to me it feels that way so I will run with that. :] The first day I got the foam roller I rolled and rolled on it over and over and kept coming back to it at different parts of the day. Its been about almost a month now and I still am using it every day. I have a history of back pain for the last 6 years of my life so I rely on a lot of anti-inflammatory supplements to keep the pain at bay, but this roller really does take a lot of the pain away even at times diminishing it completely, even if it is only for a time. It seriously is like having your own chiropractor at your fingertips, except instead your only paying for the price of one really cheap chiropractic session with insurance. My chiropractor charged a flat $44 fee for straight cash payments per session and if you paid with insurance it was still $40 after deductions so it was better to just pay cash basically instead of using my health insurance premium up. I can't afford to go to the chiropractor, since he wanted me to go twice a week, which would be at minimum around $320. After I left the doctor I just dealt with the pain and used anti-inflammatory supplements and natural pain sprays and creams until I came across foam rolling, which really has changed my life drastically. Now with the Rollga I have finally found my favorite foam roller with the most effective results. I am excited to try the 'Black Pro Rollga' and I'm sure I will even enjoy that one better, since it is even firmer than the silver Genesis Model. I would go for this model if you are new to Foam Rolling, since it is less intense and less painful to the body (Your body needs to adjust to foam rolling and foam rolling can be painful at first) and then work your way up to the Black Pro or perhaps the Blue Rollga model, which is in between the silver and Black Pro. I also want to touch on the customer service as they answered my questions swiftly and with a very detailed response to my questions regarding the differences between each Rollga roller. I really hope Rollga keeps manufacturing more and more products. My only minor complaint is that the roller is quite expensive, but to be honest it is pretty much worth every penny because any of the Rollgas will probably be the only foam roller you will ever need and you won't have to waste time and money buying different foam rollers getting only mediocre results. This product deserves a recommendation and I give this roller a 5 star review with the HUGEST thumbs up in a review I have ever left on Amazon! Hears to hoping that the Black Pro Rollga will be my next favorite foam roller of all time and beat out this silver one!

I have been searching for something that can get deep down into my tissues. When I use a regular foam roller it just doesn’t get the spots I need. It never gets into my calves. This roller hits every spot it’s unbelievable. For the reviews that say it’s too hard, I could see why you say that, so you must like deep pressure. This thing is going to be my savior in between massages. After 30 minutes I can already feel it.

I ordered this product several months ago because they have this very same roller at my gym. I fell in love with it and the amazing back massage I get while using it. I am able to target my upper back and my shoulders. Truly is a great product. It’s super sturdy and a great size regardless of your weight. Will definitely be ordering another as a gift for a friend. It is worth the money especially when it offers such amazing back relief.

This foam roller is definitely much better than the traditional round foam roller. It's able to get into areas the traditional foam roller is not able to. I got the purple standard roller (which is softer than the standard traditional foam roller) and it's decent. I've had the opportunity to use the black (firm) roller and like it more for my back. This is perfect for shins and other aeras where there isn't much muscle/fat between the roller and the bone (i.e. shins) If you are used to foam rolling and/or able to tolerate a bit of pain, get the firm. If you are new to foam roller and/or sensitive to pain, get this standard roller. Overall, a great product. I plan on getting the firm version to add to my collection as each pressure has it's benefits.

If you think the grooves/sections in this foam roller are just for show and there’s no difference between this and a traditional foam roller - you are dead wrong. The difference in release, your comfort when using and ease of use are undeniable. It comes with clear directions and links to videos to ensure proper use. Easy to use for small and large athletes. The foam quality is outstanding and it’s sure to hold its shape for a long time. As far as the firmness of the foam itself, it is on par with most standard rollers when the foam is new. They do have a softer and a harder version. I think this one is probably the most universally usable, but can see where the softer one might be more comfortable for some of the low back &. neck release activities in particular. I do have issues with my neck and even with the firmness of it, the grooves make it a much more gentle and effective than a traditional roller. It comes with removable strap makes it easy to carry and take with you too. Yes it is a price jump from traditional rollers but one very much worth it.

I was surprised at how different this roller was on my back than the smooth roller has been. The smooth roller pushed my spine "back into position" with a lot of cracking, altho I dont know if that was actually good for me and my scoliosis. And this one massages the muscle groups along the spine, which was a very different experience. The first time I used it, it hurt a lot, but not because its a bad product, because those muscles were so so tight and constricted. Now its pain free and my back is more loose from it. Love it. Im very glad I got it and that its not moving my spine around like the smooth roller does. I also love it for my shins, another area that is hard to work on. Really great there

I got this because I had been using one of these in my physical therapist's office for back and shoulder muscle tightness (due to sitting for my job all day/week). This is a great device because it supports my weight well (175) and it does an incredible job rolling those muscles without putting unnecessary pressure on my spinal column. Since working through those issues, I've used it to roll other parts of the body to great success and comfort. It's just a super effective tool to have in the arsenal if you are one of those who have a job that requires you to sit all day, hunched over a keyboard.
