Very informative, however buy the updated version because things do change.

Wonderfully informative, well-researched and ouches on all the extraordinary dimensions of this dynamic and thriving city. Highly practical and pretty much up to date. Really enjoyed the book

I'm a Lonely Planet fan from way back. They just can't be beat.

This book has a lot of great information. The overview gave me a great starting point for planning my trip. It’s also packed with details which were extremely helpful in picking specific things. I highly recommend this book if you’re feeling overwhelmed and not sure where to start.

Not too think, doesn't have a bunch of info one doesn't need, and great maps. I can't wait to get to Istanbul!
