Easy Install, Same Spacing as 7 spd.
Perfect for quick install on a second set of rims I got to have my commuter mountain bike serve dual road and trail duty. Fits on the 8-11 spd shimano hubs perfectly so no need to use a spacer with a 7 spd cassette. Has the same gear spacing as a 7 spd cassette just with an extra cog so I can still easily switch back and forth between these new wheels and my old 7 spds without needing to do much tuning to the shifter. Just dont get to use the largest cog since my shifter is only a 7 spd.

A lot of bang for your buck
This is Shimano's 'low end' 8 speed cassette. That basically translates into it being heavier and not as pretty to look at as their higher tier parts. I installed this on my 'utility / commuter bike', for which aesthetics and (low) weight are not high up on my list of priorities. What is important to me is performance and durability, which this part will certainly give you. There are various speciality tools that will work for installation. I used a chain whip and cassette lockring remover, which are also nice tools to have on hand if you ever need to replace a broken spoke. Shimano is known for delivering very good performance throughout their range of parts, even on the low end. So while this cassette may not win awards for it's use of exotic materials, light weight, or 'bling factor', it will help you achieve positive and crisp shifting at a low price point and is likewise built for durability. To me, that makes it a winner.Great for:commuter bikes (riding to work, ect)utility bikes (picking up groceries, running errands, getting around town)casual (pleasure) riding, or riding for fitness. Not recommended for:racing or competitive riding (triathlons, duathlons, time trials, road racing)'blinging' out your ride

Megarange version
Cheap, works fine. Good gear selection. Megarange easy to get in and out of. Great for 27.5 or lower wheel sizes, as you get a ton of climbing power and still reasonable gearing when using a 22 or 28 chainring.Do not recommend megarange version if you have 29 wheels or less than 3 chainrings.

Be aware, its a megarange cassette.
IT is not as pictured for the 34T. This is a megarange cassette which means you go from 26teeth to 34teeth. I wanted one with smoother transition. Still, its a shimano cassette and still awesome shifting.....

MegaRange!!!!
I went with the 11-34 tooth version of this. It's considered the MegaRange version since it has the the 34 tooth 1st gear.It helped tremendously on my heavy Ebike. Just going from the stock 32 tooth to the 34 made a huge difference in steep hills. The 11 tooth 8th gear gained me about 5 MPH on the top end. With the stock 12 tooth 8th gear I experienced "ghost pedaling" at around 26 MPH.

Solid product
I'm a big guy who rides hard, and I've had this for a few months now. Bought this to replace my old Sunrace cassette of the same price point, and it's lasting waaay longer. Shimano delivers again. There's a bit of wear from when I jumped gears a bunch in a lubrication mishap, but no wear in the teeth otherwise. The anodization is starting to rub off on some of the gears, but honestly it just makes it look more boss. For $20 I am completely satisfied.

A good value for a value bike.
I have multiple bikes that all have different reasons for being in my shed. I have race bikes for road and MTB and I have errand running and bad-weather/salty-roads bikes. I don't need $200 cassettes on bikes that are utility bikes. I want durable and simple cassettes for that. This fit the bill and checked the right boxes. The black looks nice on the dark grey bike, but also I figured the finish would help it fight the elements a little.

Missing parts
I’m pretty sure the product is more than fine, I’ve never had an issue with shimano components before. However I received one where the shimano box was already ripped open with parts missing. No problem with shimano but whoever fulfilled the order should be ashamed.

That time where "good, cheap and realible" finally meet eachother...
Simple, functional cassette with a great price to boot. Hard to complain about it or find any flaws!Personally I always loved the 8 speed cassettes and when they are paired with 34T, I find that they are offering all the range that I need even when paired with a single chainring on the front (32T or 38T).

32T to 34T
Changing from a 32T to 34T made quite a difference on the steep parts for an old guy like me on my 29er. I can spin up sections that I couldn't before. What 29ers really need is a cassette with a 36T and a 32T.
