Works great

After installing all my certificates from a website and following the convoluted instructions to make sure I didn’t have any additional drivers loaded, this worked flawlessly. After getting a new CAC in Jan 2022 my old reader didn’t work (apparently the card upgrade didn’t agree with it). I have the latest software on my MacBook Pro as of this review. Works on all my Air Force CAC enabled websites. Easy purchase

It says it’s Mac compatible, it says it’s plug and play. It’s not. First you have to download Java. Then turns out it doesn’t work with Sonoma. Wish that wasn’t buried description.

Item shipped quickly. The cost was not crazy. It is extremely easy to use with any operating system whether it be windows OS or Mac. It has a simple USB-C input which makes it a modern design for those with newer laptops that are constantly mobile. There is not setup process, just plug in and your ID certificates should fall in place within seconds of accessing the restricted website/software. As for the durability I have been using it constantly for the last few weeks and nothing has been an issue thus far.

In a pinch, I needed a CAC reader for my MacBook Air which only has USB-C ports. No additional requirements were needed.

I work for the federal government and I am allowed to telework a couple of days per week. This operates fine, I have had no issues with it, unlike the government issued ones that are quite temperamental.
