Love this thing. Does exactly what you would expect it to do. Light and sturdy. Two heights on offer. Neck feels safe and secure. Won't mark the neck. Excellent. Stick it there and just get on with the job. However, you might find it gets stuck in its cardboard box, and then it's tricky to get it out again. But once it's out, it's a winner. Recommended for any guitar related maintenance you might end up doing. I used it with a small Jim Dunlop guitar mat and have no complaints.

One of those invaluable accessories which makes life a lot easier! Ideal for supporting the neck of your instrument and leaving both hands free while you make adjustments to the setup, change strings and so on. Additionally it raises the machine heads above the level of your sofa or bed thus avoiding leaving oily stains on your furniture! The cork is an ideal material to support the neck of your treasured instrument, supporting it but smooth and soft enough not to cause physical damage. If necessary you can raise the height of the support by putting a book or wooden block underneath.

I thought it would be more stable, the the cork material is good. A "C" shaped rocking unit is more stable but this did the job.

This neck support is ideal for doing any work on a guitar, whether it`s a restring or making some adjustments. Cork is a sturdy, soft and light material, which supports and won`t damage your guitar neck.. The support can be used two ways, ostensibly for electric or acoustic guitars. Even the box is handy for storing removed screws and parts while working. Very satisfied with this, as the neck cut-out is plenty big enough that the neck will stay supported. If you`re working on the back of the guitar, the neck is still supported, though at the edges instead of the middle but it still works. I wish I`d bought one years ago.

With this is it much easier to work on your stringed instruments at home. Much!

This isn’t the most expensive guitar neck support, but it’s very good quality and does exactly what it should. The support is made of compressed cork, which is cushioning but firm to the touch. There are 2 usable sides, of different heights. One for electric guitars. The other for acoustic. They hold the guitar securely to allow you to work on it. It’s likely that the cork will not last as long as some of the plastic ones, but they will be less likely to cause scratches, have nothing to come unstuck or detached and will almost certainly have a lifespan lasting a decade or more with my level of usage

Worked perfectly for me when cleaning, polishing and setting up guitars. So happy that I finally have the right tool for the job! I had been using the styrofoam neck rest that was part of a cheap guitars' packaging. It worked okay but would get blown off the workbench when someone would walk by. It was also too low when working on guitars with angled-back headstocks this has two different heights, making working on guitars that much easier. Highly recommended, with a huge price-to-performance ratio!

I love this block. I use it for my violin so it can take a nap like a princess. It's the perfect height if there is a shoulder rest attached. It is light, sturdy, high quality. If you have a viola then don't get this because it it too nice for a viola, maybe use a crumpled up piece of viola sheet music instead. But for violin, would highly recommend.
