GYEON View EVO Ceramic Hydrophobic Windshield Coating for High Visibility

Honestly the application is kinda nerve racking for a first timer, but it’s basically dummy proof it was easy to apply, and as you apply you can really take in the quality in the product, it leaves the windows shining like new, and the effectiveness is really night and day water just beads off with ease and I totally recommend a 12 month reapplication even thought the durability is insane without care but if you care for it it’ll probably last 24 months

Applied to glass, not windscreen PPF. It does take a little effort to polish the substrate with the provided media (FYI this cannot be done from couch). Total application time was about 1.5 hrs to clean, polish, and apply two coats. Hydrophobicity is better than Rain-X. Slickness may be a little less than a fresh coat of Rain-X, but I don’t mind using the wipers. Have not encountered wiper chatter with this product. Seems to take the punishment of time (6 months thus far), outside storage (rain, UV exposure, temps from 40 F to 90 F have been experienced), abrasion from wiper blades, and 4 car washes. Wow, adding a note to self that I need to wash the car more often. Update 2/6/2024: Coating performance has fallen off after 36k and 9 months. Need to re-apply coating after first applying in April-2023, which included one summer and most of one cold season.

While I purchased this and winter was wintering hard. I found workarounds and hacks to make the product cure in under 50⁰ weather. EVO has been flawless. Therain just beads up and just rolls off the windshield. Visibility has also improved in rainy weather. The people who have issues more than likely didn't follow the instructions to a T. It is really important that you do.

Mixed bag on this product for me... First, this product did a beautiful job on the windshield, made it much clearer and reduced the visibility of some of the small pits in the glass. It seems to be quite hydrophobic and rain does bead up and blow off well, however, on the downside, it introduced a squeak/squeal to the wiper blades in light rain/intermittent wiper conditions that was not present previously. Also introduced a bit more streaking from my wipers than they previously had. I got a much cleaner/quieter wipe prior to applying this product. Not sure I will purchase again.

I applied this product to my windshield, side windows, and side mirrors, following instructions exactly, and it accomplished the exact opposite of what I had hoped for! Instead of CLEAR VIEW as the product advertises, I get a fine film of dense fog. The product states it repels water. As a result, any moisture (rain, fog) beads into fine droplets covering all the glass surfaces that I applied it to like a dense fog. It is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. Using the wiper blades does not clear the windshield but also leaves behind a constant film of fine misty fog. TERRIBLE. Amazon will not accept a return because the product contains petroleum components. The coating is supposed to last a very long time and is resistant to any chemicals with a pH from 2 to 11. So any normal cleaner (even one that can strip wax off the car) won't take it off. Hoping to hear back from the company on how I can remove this big mistake...

This coating does work - but only if you have some experience with coating application. Even if you follow the instruction steps perfectly, there is still a need for the slight of hand that only comes from experience. If you decide to try it, be mindful in timing the buff off perfectly. If you wait too long, it will be ruined. If you buff too early, it will be ruined. If you get it right, then this is one of the best window coatings on the market. Edit: I put a single application of this coating on one of my vehicles 3 years ago when I first wrote this review, and I have not applied anything to the glass ever since. The glass still has the coating present after 3 years, it has degraded partially over time, but the fact that it's still there is very impressive for a consumer product. Just keep in mind that the installation requires professional level application, don't even try it if you aren't experienced because you are almost guaranteed to screw it up; just look at all the negative reviews for this product and you will see what I mean

Ich habe dieses Produkt als Ersatz für eine andere Scheibenversiegelung gekauft, die leider nicht mehr verfügbar war. Das Auto steht ganzjährig draußen bei Wind und Wetter und fährt etwa 15.000–20.000 km pro Jahr. Ziel war für mich eine zuverlässige Nanoversiegelung, die ich zweimal jährlich anwenden kann – im Frühjahr und Herbst. Nach inzwischen einem halben Jahr Nutzung bin ich wirklich überzeugt. Ich habe die Versiegelung vor dem Winter aufgetragen und sie hält genau das, was versprochen wird. Wasser perlt sauber ab, die Scheiben bleiben deutlich länger sauber und auch im Winter hatte ich Vorteile – Eis und Schnee ließen sich wesentlich leichter entfernen und hafteten deutlich weniger an. Die Anwendung funktioniert problemlos. Ein kleiner Tipp aus meiner Erfahrung: Ich nutze statt des mitgelieferten Schwamms eine kleine Sprühflasche. Damit lässt sich das Produkt gleichmäßiger und sparsamer auftragen, wodurch man mehr Fläche behandeln kann. Das Einpolieren klappt danach ohne Probleme. Für meinen Einsatzzweck reicht die Packung bei zwei Anwendungen pro Jahr locker für ein Jahr aus. Preislich finde ich das Produkt daher absolut fair. Wer sein Fahrzeug zusätzlich in einer Garage stehen hat, wird wahrscheinlich sogar noch länger etwas davon haben. Von mir eine klare Empfehlung.

Preparation is key for this product to work well, and so if you're not prepared to take the time to prepare and apply this product then don't bother. 1. Wash windscreen 2. Rinse. 3. Claybar . 4. Rinse. then follow Gyeon's instructions 1. Clean using the supplied glass cleaner - I applied this using a 3" pad and small handheld DA. 2. Rinse and wip dry 3. Apply the solution up and down, left and right, in small sections at a time - applied manually using their pads 4. Let it dry 5. Repeat steps 3 to 4 5 times. 6. Wipeoff using damp cloth. 7. Leave to dry for at least 12 hours. After all this, you should see the water bead off a lot from 40mph onwards. At motorway speeds wipers are not needed. Enjoy.
