2/28/18 These shoe "trees" are most definitely "cheap plastic." I've had these "trees" in my shoes 3 days now and I haven't seen any improvement yet. I'll give them another week and if they still haven't stretch my low heels out, I will return.

Flimsy and poor quality

Might work in some shoes (probably does fine in women shoes) but I could not get it to stay in place in the boots I needed to stretch out.

I bought these 3 years ago when I was in grad school. Needless to say I didn't have much money, so I went for the cheapest option. It turned out, I also didn't have much time, so I never actually tried them.Well, fast forward to career-me. I unpacked these one day and tried them on a pair of boots I was madly in love with but were definitely about an inch too narrow for me to wear. I never dreamed they would actually work. But after about 4 days, I came back, pulled these out, and lo and behold, they stretched! And now they fit perfectly!I did only need to stretch one area—these aren't very big—and they aren't easy to insert, though I found it quite doable. Also, I have only tried these on fabric so far. I'll be trying on leather this week. If it doesn't work, I'll update.

It is what you see. spend the money buy the full size wood. This slips out of place twists sideways. It did however, after much fiddling, application of heat and added paper to hold in place - stretch out my shoe a bit

The media could not be loaded.  Ces extenseurs ne fonctionnent pas pour moi malheureusement. Je les ai pris pour agrandir le devant de mes souliers (j'ai des embauchoirs complets mais comme ce n'est systématiquement que l'avant qui me pose souci, ces petits modèles paraissaient bien adaptés).Mais... Ils ne se coincent pas suffisamment fortement dans mes escarpins. Ils glissent, ne tiennent pas en place et en définitive ne servent à rien du moins pour moi : peut être est ce la nature de mes souliers pointus qui génèrent ce problème ou le plastique qui est trop lisse et ne s'agrippe pas.

Very flimsy and don't work. Made of plastic with no middle screw do to expand them y have to turn one of the ends which is no good when you want them tight as no room in shoe
