Let me start by giving a little background. I am an ASE certified tech A8-A1 missing A2 have my L1 L3 L4 been in the industry 10+ years, am shop foreman at a busy 6 Bay independent shop in Colorado. I have used a multitude of diffrent scan tools Snap-on Zeus, modus, modus ultra (very good scan tool), multiple autels, continentals new p.c based diagnostic setup (which is ABSOLUTELY garbage), torque pro, launch x431 v+. With all of that being said this is hands down the best scan tool I have ever used, it's not the fastest but it works on EVERYTHING and it does EVERYTHING. Take sometime to learn it its not necessarily super user friendly you have to have some scan tool knowledge and if you use it to program modules or some of the indepth reset procedures you need to have the knowledge or ability to obtaine manufacture required procedures, if you can do that this scan tool is untouchable not even the 10k snap-on Zeus can come close. Hands down the best scan tool I have ever used And I am honestly thoroughly amazed by the device almost on a daily basis. I had the launch X431 V+ before I upgraded to the Pad V and I will probably never buy another brand of scan tool again

WE BOUGHT THIS LAUNCH X431 PAD V Elite ECU JUST ABOUT A YEAR AGO, WE ALREADY HAVE PROBLEM WITH IT. HOWEVER IT SHOWING FULLY CHARGED BUT IT DOESN'T COME ON. WE CALLED SELLER IN USA BUT THEY DIDN'T TAKE RESPONSIVE AND THEY TOLD US TO CONTACT THE MANUFACTURE IN CHINA. WE CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURE IN CHINA AND EVERYTHING BUT CHINES MANUFACTURE DIDN'T DO NOTHING AND TOLD US TO SEND IT SELLER FOR REPAIR. AND SO ON AND ON ...

I have been using this scanner a week now and have found 2 misdiagnosed vehicles from other shops. This scanner loads quickly and so far very user friendly. Still trying to figure out all the things it can do but as of now very happy with it.

Way over priced for its advertised capabilities that are not available when you need them. Example try to do a rodeo on a Mercedes after a shock replacement oh it’s not there. Even way cheaper units can do that. Also I can’t tell you how many times I had to reinstall and update the software because it decides you no longer need it to save space. Too many problems to mention. The think tools pro is now available for almost $1000 less and works way better than this garbage. Actually I bought this one because I also have an x431v which I spent $1500 less that works way better and does more. Save your hard earned money and look elsewhere. Wait till you see how they nickel and dollar you when your subscription expires. You must subscribe to each vehicle separately ALA snap on garbage. So if you were to subscribe to every vehicle that this junk is supposed to support it will cost you 70% of the purchase price per year. You might as well just buy a new machine every year. Tech support is non existent and all the online help is found for free on YouTube. Horrible horrible horrible. I own this machine for 18 months now and any updates that have been downloaded have yet to install missing so called included items that it can do. I feel like a beta tester with no support. I have to say if I could have returned it after the first few jobs that I used it on I would. I also purchased the printer and the highest version sold of this tool for a whopping $3,600.00. Made in China junk. I am revising my review. I was contacted by the company on my issues. They were very quick to get back to me. They made good by updating my scanner for free to the latest update which solved all of my issues. So now the unit functions as intended and I am a happy customer so I am revising my review to 5 stars because the unit performs all the advertised functions as listed.

Picking a good scan tool is extremely difficult with limited information, or disinformation. They all sound great and can do everything and then you find out they are very limited and only do everything on very specific cars. By the time you buy a scan tool they've already upgraded to something else and yours becomes outdated in a matter of months. on the PAD V Most of the software is incomplete and you have to go through multiple months of updates for functions to actually work. Unfortunately I purchase this for JLR Diesel or more specifically Jaguar. the module scanning and diagnostics is fantastic, but at the same time it has absolutely no special functions for jaguar. Not even oil reset, battery matching or anything at all. Much of the Live data monitoring is incomplete, in accurate, or doesn't exist. Some of the functions are listed but there is no output to be monitored, or the output is in-accurate. Simple things like DPF differential pressure does not function, and under Delta pressure it functions erratically with the parameters set to PSI but instead it reads in hpa (mBar). Fuel injector quantity readings are implausible. Even though it should be roughly the same software as most of their other high-end units, it doesn't always function the same or have the same software installed. Euro tab software is actually a bit different. there is Launch UK, USA CH and so on. It's a nightmare to figure out (they keep adding more functions and after two or three updates it's getting a little better for jaguar but still a lot of it is way off or missing. Still the launch PAD V, and PAD VII probably two of the best scan tools on the market, and much of the other tools just use launch software anyway)

Functions don't work as well as promised. Key reprogramming hardly ever works correctly and you can't even read vehicle pin. I have a scanner that cost less than half of this that does more. And actually works.

I like how simple this scan tool is to operate. It’s very quick and gets the job done. I do car repair for a hobby and the price doesn’t break the bank. I purchased this scan tool to do an adaptive learn on a transmission for a 2016 Ford Focus, worked flawlessly.

I bought this unit with the expectation that I would be up and running within an hour. It has been two days, program says loading. However the above photo message comes up. Built for an older version of Android. This has to be loaded first before upgrading. NOT WORKING!!! Can any one suggest next option???

Reçu dans les temps, encore à l'essai, mais c'est très dommage qu'il n'ait pas de fonctions spéciales EGR, FAP, Immo off/on ! Une petite application comme celle ci pourrait nous être proposée en option afin d'être 100% en autonomie sur des dépannages courant EGR surtout quand on n'est pas au garage... Les explications en français sans très succinctes également (1/4 français, 1/2 anglais, 1/4 espagnol ou italien !) La calculatrice ne fait pas les" BIN" (Petit plus facile à rajouter) Aucune documentation papier.. Sinon elle fonctionne à merveille Comment ajouter la licence camion, tracteur, engins..? Ou d'autres modules spécifiques ?

Achtung! Gerät besitzt keine Anleitung auf Deutsch. Laut Hersteller Launch, wird dieses Gerät nicht über die Launch Europe GmbH vertrieben. Das Gerät würde ich direkt beim Hersteller kaufen. Nachtrag - nach 19 Monaten ist keine Verlängerung der Software möglich, diese würde für die Standardsoftware 320,28 $ kosten. 20 Updates 726,89 $, jedes weitere Update ca. 57,00 $ Obwohl diese für 24 Monate zugesagt wurde. FINGER WEG! Da ist noch ein Stern zuviel!

No traía adaptador de 220 V para Europa Además, el borrado del intervalo de de servicio de un seat Córdoba (modelo 6L) no podía realizarse , se optó por seleccionar un vehículo de similares caracteristicas(vw polo modelo 9N) del año 2006 y así pudo realizarse.Supongo que con las actualizaciones quedará subsanado.Gracias
