Fish n’ Pull is the world’s simplest and fastest way to fish wire, cables, and tubing through walls, ceilings, and even floors! The Fish n’ Pull kit provides the right tools to get the job done fast, and insulation is no longer a problem; the Magnetic Fish tunnels right under it. Insert the Magnetic Fish into the wall, ceiling, or floor space, and using the 2-inch MagRing, pull it to your exit location. You now have a strong pull cord to attach to whatever it is you need to run. With the time you save, this innovative tool pays for itself on the first use!

Not sure it can completely eliminate fish rods, but it works
The Good Parts* When it works, it works great* When it doesn't work, there's a lot of trial and error* Works best on non-insulated walls.Could Be Better* The "bullet" can sometimes struggle when pulling through an insulated wall* The magnets could benefit from being a lot stronger* The bullet has a pretty large diameter, you basically need a 3/4" bit to cleanly pass it through a hole* A LOT cheaper than a Magnepull. Having said that, I'm not sure a Magnepull would have done the job for me eitherNotes* I had the least amount of luck when running the bullet from a drilled hole. The magnet was not strong enough near the floor boards to pull it against the wall.* In my case, I was running lines for indoor security cameras mounted near the ceiling. Coincidentally, I was putting network drops near the floor at the same time. I found it much easier to fish the wires to the drop, and then use the Fish 'N' Pull to pull up the fished wire up the wall.* It is a slow and deliberate process pulling the bullet up the wall. Barring any obstructions, you will get there, but you just have to be patient.* The video is a little misleading on the insulated wall, since there's no vapor barrier installed, which complicates things

Great value vs Magnapull
Excellent product. So much faster and easier than fishing with fiberglass rods when you're just going up the wall. However it's a bit of a challenge to use when there's tight packed insulation and a heavy vapor barrier. You have to wiggle back and forth, and go slowly. When there only insulation, this is very fast and clean. Quite a value vs a Magnapull

Does not work as advertised unfortunately
Was excited to receive this and finish running a difficult Ethernet cable but was instantly disappointed. The metal on the end of the string is super magnetised, so trying to drop it down inside a wall was practically impossible. It would always get hung up on either a staple or a gang box. It's also way too big for what it needs to be.

Works ok
I bought this specifically to use on an insulated wall. Had trouble but got it done by being able to reach in with my hand as the magnet couldn’t move the wire any higher for some reason. I’m sure it would work a lot better on an inside wall/without insulation.

Worth Every Penny
I bought this for wall fishing coax. In truth, I was trying to save money by building my own fishing kit, and once I realized I was going to spend about this much for a makeshift set with a less than ideal internal magnet, it just made sense to give Fish N Pull a try. It has paid for itself 20 times over. You can genuinely fish a cable in 5 minutes or less with this thing compared to glow rods which take considerable time. There is a learning curve if this is your first time using a magnetic fish kit, but that's normal.Use caution though as these magnets are strong and the bullet magnet will stick to nails, screws, or electrical boxes inside of the wall, and sometimes it can be a bit tricky to retreive it but ultimately it has never let me down after years of use.Pros vs "Magnapull" - It's half the price. The bullet magnet is a bit easier to manage, and requires a smaller hole diameter than the "Magnapull" bullet, which I find to be a bit clunky.Cons vs "Magnapull" - This is minor - but "Magnapull" has a hand held roller, and this uses a fixed "fishing" type magnet. I have both, and honestly don't find this to be an issue. Whichever is handy is the one I will grab.I highly recommend this if you are a pro installer or technician, or if you just like to have the right tool for the job
