A u-lock isn't very adaptable when it comes to locking your bike to unusually shaped objects. The Trelock FS 300 is a different kind of a lock, more secure than a cable, more flexible than a u-lock.At 750 grams the FS 300 is lighter than many u-locks. The lock consists of six metal plates that are riveted together. The plates are coated in a rugged plastic to keep the lock from scratching your bike and the rivets pinning the plates together look substantial. The lock folds into a compact package and comes with a nicely designed mount that can be either bolted to the bottle bosses on your bike or secured to your frame with some sturdy nylon hose-type clamps. The lock comes with two serialized keys and key replacement service is available. The locking mechanism is smooth and secure, consisting of a steel cam that rotates 180 degrees to completely capture the mushroom head of the last of the lock's pivoting plates.Folded, the lock is smaller than a water bottle and unfolded the sum of the length of the plates is 85 cm.I have not tested the FS 300 by leaving a bike in a rough neighborhood overnight and I'm not going to destroy a perfectly good lock to see just how tough it is. My sense in examining the lock is that it could be defeated with some determined work with a saw, chisel, or a very big pry bar. While the manufacturer has a video showing the lock resisting a ton of leverage, I think a hardened steel u-lock is a better solution for the highest risk situations.While u-locks may be the standard in security, they tend to be bulky and it's hard to find a good place to carry them, especially on smaller framed bikes. The FS 300 fits into tight places and is a good, medium security lock.

Ho acquistato questo lucchetto prima che ritirassi la mia e mtb. L'ho fatto d'impulso, senza pensarci più di tanto perchè ce ne era uno nel warehouse deal ad un prezzo di circa 22€.Siccome l'assicurazione stipulata contro il furto mi richiedeva il livello di protezione posseduto da questo antifurto, a caldo l'ho presa. Successivamente mi sono pentito di averlo fatto.Non l'ho restituita perchè gli ho trovato il giusto impiego.Nella pratica, ad oggin, non l'ho ancora utilizzata perché le sue dimensioni di 90 cm, non mi consentono di legare la bici ad un supporto fisso.Per tale utilizzo ho acquistato una catena della Abus di 140 cm. eE' questa infatti, a mio avviso la dimensione ideale per la stazza della mia Trek Powerfly 5.Ricercando in rete info sulle varie tipologie di antifurti, ho potuto rilevare che Trelock e Abus sono equivalenti in quanto a qualità dei prodotti, di conseguenza consiglio prima dell'acquisto, di vedere su Amazon il marchio con il prezzo più basso a parità di livello di sicurezza del supporto.Utilizzerò questo della Trelock per le soste brevissime, laddove ne bloccherò la ruota legandola alla stessa bici.La comodità di questo modello risiede nelle sue dimensioni molto contenute.Il prodotto consente di collegare il supporto dell'antifurto alla stessa bici. Probabilmente non lo farò mai, per non appesantirne la struttura ed anche per un fattore estetico. Me lo porterò nello zaino. Infatti l'antifurto ha il suo peso non proprio trascurabile che ne testimonia anche il suo livello di efficacia.Lo utilizzerò quando andrò in vacanza in montagna laddove la possibilità che me la rubino è di gran lunga inferiore a quando sono in città. Anche in quel caso non lascerò comunque il mezzo incustodito per oltre 5 minuti. L'abilità dei ladri professionisti, va ben aldilà dei livelli di sicurezza di questi antifurti.E' un prodotto che consiglio solo per soste brevissime in città, anche se la sua qualità intrinseca è elevata.Per chi intendesse lasciare la bici incustodita per più tempo, è molto meglio attrezzarsi con una tradizionale catena, prodotta da aziende del settore, che abbia una lunghezza di 140 cm pari a quella da me acquistata successivamente della Abus, sempre a prezzo scontato su Amazon.

"Interessenten" bereits durch das massive Erscheinungsbild ab. 85cm erscheint mir jedoch etwas kurz, gut es reicht das Fahrrad mit dem Rahmen an ein festes Objekt zu "ketten".Negativ ist die Halterung, bzw. die billigen Plastikbänder und noch primitiveren Kunststoffschrauben mit denen die Bänder zusammengezogen werden sollen.Um den Halter für das Schloss am Fahrrad zu befestigen sind Bänder und Schrauben dabei (wenn man keine Gewinde für eine Trinkflaschenhalterung hat). Eine "Schraube" gab bereits beim festdrehen nach, sprich der Kreuzschlitz war nicht mehr zu gebrauchen, noch weit bevor es fest wurde. Kabelbinder erfüllen die Anforderungen an dieser Selle leider nicht, ich suche noch ein gute Lösung. Evtl. wären Klettbänder mit gummierter Innenseite damit nichts rutscht hilfreich. Werde auch an den Hersteller schreiben - so gefällt mir das noch nicht...

Il prodotto sembra di buona fattura ed adeguato alle necessità. Ovviamenti si trovano parecchi video su youtube di come scassinare il catenaccio con l'uso di uno "spaccanoci" facilmente recuperabile in molti negozzi di bricolage. ad ogni modo è un catenaccio ben fatto, leggero e facilmente trasportabile per mezzo del suo gancio da attaccare al telaio della bicicletta. Non so come sia la sua resistenza alla ruggine in quanto ce l'ho da poco tempo, tuttavia sembra fatto da materiali robusti e duraturi, motivo per il quale la votazione rimane sulle 5 stelle. ci sono solo due chiavi, una terza chiave sarebbe stata gradita ma tutto sommato va bene così.Mi reputo soddisfatto nonostante ci sono prodotti quasi identici ad un prezzo lievemente più contenuto. Il motivo della mia propensione verso questo prodotto sta nel fatto che alcune recensioni lo hanno definito immune da ruggine nel lungo termine.. vedremo se sarà così.

Das Schloss ist sehr robust und bis jetzt war ich sehr zufrieden damit.Leider von einem Tag auf den anderen lässt sich der Schlüssel nicht mehr drehen. Öl hat auch nix gebracht.Das Schloss hatte ich erst vor 4 Monaten gekauft. Jetzt muss ich das ganze abflexen und mir ein neues kaufen.Echt enttäuschen. Aber scheinbar bin ich nicht er einzige, den das getroffen hat.Mein Fahrrad steht übrigens ganzen Tag drinnen und in der Arbeit überdacht.

Ich habe das Schloss in der Version vor der Überarbeitung lange Jahre genutzt und war immer sehr zufrieden damit. Obwohl ich hier einige Rezensionen gelesen hatte mit Berichten darüber, dass sich der Schlüssel nicht mehr drehen ließ, habe ich es gewagt und das Schloss gekauft. Nach einigen Monaten haben ich nun selbst das Problem mit dem Schlüssel: Er lässt sich kaum noch drehen, irgendetwas blockiert. Öl hilft kaum etwas. Muss mir wohl dringend ein anderes Schloss besorgen bevor es sich gar nicht mehr öffnen lässt.Update: Durch eine bestimmte Technik (Rütteln), die ich zwischenzeitlich entdeckt habe, lässt sich das Schloss weiterhin mehr oder weniger zuverlässig öffnen. Ich habe es aber trotzdem zurückgeschickt und mir ein anderes bestellt.
