What can I say.So far I have loved every Jessa York book I have read.Try them you will be enchanted

I haven't read a book in a while that has inspired me to write a review, so thank you Jessa York for writing a really amazing book!!!Our h, Chloe, is at present a divorced single mother living with her bestie (Kendall), bestie's husband (Carter) and bestie's baby boy (Bruce). She had a rough childhood that she clawed her way out of; she married and only finished three years of her four year physio college program before quitting school to work full time and pay hubby's way through medical school (we can all see where this is going). Jerk & Chloe then have a baby girl (Maya) and once jerk gets his MD and it's her turn to finish her degree, she discovers he had been cheating and then he proceeds to take advantage of her in the divorce. Luckily for Chloe, Kendall & Carter packed Chloe & Maya up and moved them into their apartment.Chloe meets Rhys, our H, when she agrees to rehab an elderly neighbor named Flo once Flo returns home from a hospital stay. Rhys is Flo's arrogant and busy heart surgeon son, so of course he and Chloe strike sparks off of one another the first couple times they meet because as most arrogant people do, he makes assumptions about Chloe that are way off base.I loved how Chloe & Rhys were honest with one another about their views on relationships once they got past their initial tiffs. Chloe helps Rhys see that there's more to life than your career, that there needs to be space made for family, friends and recharging the soul! Rhys helps give Chloe a feeling that she is not only desirable (her husband quashed that during their marriage), but that she has room in her busy life to eventually find a boyfriend/husband.Hot Shot Hero has great characters, sassy banter, hot love scenes, humor, and a couple times I was in tears and thankful I was sitting next to a box of Kleenex. Seriously a must read, and it's already been enthusiastically added to the "Best" folder I have on my Kindle.

Wow! This book SO took me in a direction I was not expecting at all! There is an enemies to lovers feel to the beginning, but I don't really want to call it that because it is so short lived that it doesn't really feel to me like that is the story. The story is about a man who has to hire someone to help his mother.... he is a heart doctor and a jerk..... She is a student, an single mother and a stripper. Problem is that once Rhys is done being the jerk.... Chloe is too stubborn to let it go. When she finally does they are great and hot AF..... until he messes up with the greatest of intentions and she spends so much time being stubbornly mad at him.....think I spoiled the story for you??? Well let me tell you I DIDN'T! That is JUST the beginning for them! I got very emotional at times and by the end I was bawling like a freaking baby!This story is absolutely in my Top Reads of 2021. There is also such a beautiful message with this story. Jessa nailed it! I am still in total awe of the way things unfolded and just how out of left field things came! Definitely a MUST READ!

I really enjoyed this book! It had everything; enemies to lovers romance that had me laughing out loud with the witty banter and a whole lot of heat! I needed a cigarette after a few of those scenes *fans self!** This is only the second book I've read from this author and man, I can't wait to read more.Chloe did what she had to do to support her and her daughter. And I really admired her strength but boy, was she ever stubborn! I wanted to shake her and tell her not to let her pride get in the way.Rhys was dreamy when he wasn't being a jerk. I liked him right from the start *I have a thing for jerks!* He made me swoon many times but I think it was his little moments with Flo and Maya that really did it for me.This book has some amazing side characters that I could not get enough of. The whole crew made me laugh and now hold a special place in my heart. Great job, Jessa!

Wow, just wow. This book is just beautiful! I was expecting another quick, easy read from the Cocky Hero Club (CHC), but this stands apart from the rest in just the best way!The story is absolutely moving, you can expect all the feels! Rhys (Hot Doc) and Chloe’s story is told in dual POV, has plenty of heat, but even more heart!They’ve both been through so much, but these kind, amazing souls get the HEA they deserve. The character development is amazing, for Rhys, Chloe and Maya (Chloe’s daughter).It’s been forever since I read Carter and Kendall’s story, but enjoyed seeing them again, and the fun ladies in the retirement community! There was so much good packed in the book!I read in KU, but purchased because I loved it so much! Read this today, it is just the best!

Fantastic story! I loved it from the very beginning to the very end! It was a perfect blend of sexy, humor and emotion and the plot unfolded really well! There are so many different ways this story could have gone off the rails, but it never did! It wasn’t overly dramatic or emotional or even predictable for that matter. GAH, I had a good time reading this and imagining myself in the story! I don’t know if you guys do that, but I do sometimes and when I can, it is delightful! I imagine myself as being Chloe and making the decisions that she did, and I wouldn’t change a single thing. This story is truly entertaining and fun, and I’d venture to even say one of the best ones I’ve read in this world!

Always wondered why they say this tugs at your heart strings 🤔 now I know why. A hot cocky heart surgeon is unwilling to go to a strip club with his friends. They buy him a lap dance he meets Chloe and his world is turned upside down. The same girl he treated bad when he interviewed her to care for his mother who just had hip replacement surgery. Sparks fly between them. Chloe has had a very difficult life which she has to strip for survival. The story is funny, loving and gets you straight to your heart ❤. What follows is truly the meaning of love & sacrifice. Don't miss it. Please read it.

I’m usually not a huge romance fan, but Jessa York is a fantastic writer. The characters become so real and you just get sucked into their relationships. I highly recommend this book, as well as any of her others!
