Received this today only to find it expired. Not impressed.

I was looking to create a special design for a 90th birthday cake. I have to say I was really excited to try a new design for the cake using this product, but I’m very disappointed. Upon opening the package, I immediately notice the color of the lace. It’s clearly beige, aged yellow at best- not white as the advertising picture shows! I inspected further, the thickness seems sturdy but the taste and feel almost seem stale, which furthers my suspicion that this product was sitting for sometime. Not much for taste. I realize edible lace typically doesn’t have to be super sweet like royal icing but this tasted like paper. Gross!The design the cake was for white lace on an off colored fondant and now I’m scrambling for last minute changes I was hoping to avoid.To add to this, I ordered this under the impression it was made in the USA/UK. The insert that came with the package says it’s registered there but the packing sticker says Made In China!Buyer beware!
