If you live in an area with hard water, high iron content, or well water, you know the frustration of the inevitable, stubborn, red-orange rust rings that appear just days after scrubbing. I have tried every conventional toilet bowl cleaner on the market—acids, gels, pumice stones—and nothing has ever worked as effectively as Iron Out tablets

These last and work really well. But considering how a toilet works, some of the toilet water will go into the bowl when it’s flushed without going through the upper tank and getting treated by the tablet. This may make a person think it’s not working. Oh but it is! So what I did was I adjusted the top tank to use a little more water per flush. It’s going to need it to flush with how I retrofit the water. I took the hose that puts water directly into the lower bowl upon flushing, skipping the tank area and aimed it into the top tank instead of the lower fill tube. I used the hose clip on the fill tube to make sure it sprayed water into the opposite side of the tank, from where the tablet is so it wouldn’t prematurely break down the tablet. Now it refills the tank faster. The lower bowl part only gets “treated” water. No more yellow rusty toilet bowl! It’s unscented. Not messy. I don’t touch the tablets directly be use it’s a chemical of course.

We can smell the iron in our water. We have very rusty water and these tablets keep our toilets looking new. We moved in and the toilets had rust rings forming in the toilets. These tablets cleared them up. Amazon is the cheapest place I've seen these for sale. We also purchased the liquid form for bathtubs and sinks

I have a well, keeps tank clear, easy to use, works well with the powder version keeping toilet clean

Not sure, Seems OK but not thorough. No color blue and does nto thoroughly clean but helps somewhat. No smell which is good.
