Costly and misleading
Was unaware you cannot use other type of string to restring this head. You HAVE to purchase and use the discs. Very disappointing. Nice trimmer head but not worth the cost in the long run. The discs are pricey compared to a roll of string I can refill multiple times.

Don't buy unless you know how to modify things and don't need directions when things go wrong
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Easy to install, don't expect not have to modifying your parts. I'm very good at making things work so was no problem. Speed:A+Cutting ability:A-Weight:lightEase of installation:depends if you know how to modify on the fly or if your one who can only use directions. Directions did nothing for me I had to modify the complete install. Size:Perfect size Ease of use:easy

MUST BUY FOR LAWN CARE!
I recently learned about these speed load heads about 2 years ago and I will never use another head. If you own a company and are just sick of trying to deal with teaching people how to load line over and over this will save so many headaches. The line is very durable and last a lot longer then you would think you can buy the line in packs of 10 or 25 and it takes no brain power at all to switch to a new spool quick and easy and no tools are required, I’ve never had a head get jammed up or any issue at all. This could be the best purchase you ever make for lawn care crews or home use. Would recommend over and over!

Liked so much bought a second one
I bought one of these about 6-7 years ago. Well I've finally worn it out. Having the speed loader on the Stihl FS-40 has made weed trimming so much easier. The bump feed on it actually works. Swapping line is a breeze and takes will take you more time. Fetching it. I hope these never get discontinued as I've been sold when I recieved my first one.

Doesn't Work on a Toro 51958 Curved Shaft Trimmer
I really like the concept of the SpeedLoad system, but this item does not work on my Toro 51958 curved shaft trimmer. I gave it 3 stars because it looks well made and would be nice to not have to be constantly winding the trimmer line. Just a heads up that the list of trimmers that the 24-250 documentation says it will work on isn't 100% accurate.
