I thought this desk was well designed. At first I thought the instructions were a little lacking, but the drawings were numbered and very clear. The project assembled very well.My only real complaint was the slightly textured surface. Why on earth would anyone create a drawing surface that wasn’t completely smooth? The back side certainly is, and don’t think I didn’t look at reversing it!The texture may not be enough to cause me problems. If it does, then I’ll just add a vinyl cover like I had to do with my first drafting table that I got 45 years ago. It folded up and if it hadn’t stupidly given it away, I wouldn’t have needed this one.But this is a decent replacement and I’ll be content with it.**UPDATE**Well, after months I finally used the desk. I have no worries. I thought the texture on the desk surface would transfer to a drawing. It doesn’t. I used 20lb printer paper and a 0.7mm pencil and only got smooth lines. It’s great.The stool? Well, it’s built like a rock. I’ma big boy and it didn’t feel anything but solid. Very solid. So solid that you will likely need a cushion. It started to hurt after awhile.*** Second Update ***I’ve been using the table daily for awhile now. The stool is gone, I have replaced it with my comfy rocking chair that I’ve had for 40 years. I certain the arms would be in the way, but it was like it was made for it. I could not be any happier. This thing is absolutely perfect!

What a fantastic purchase. Sturdy, well built, easy to put together, large. You will want to measure your space because it is big. This is used daily for homework, painting, drawing, sewing and is an added work space. The drawers are for lighter items and heavy items would sag drawers. Might want to keep that in mind. But sewing kit, canvas, painting/drawing supplies all work fine in drawers. Big win for my crafting, busy teen.

Super easy to put together, the only annoying thing I found was that all but 2 screws have a hex head. And then at the end, you have to grab a screw driver for 2 screws. Other than that little irritant, I absolutely love this desk so far!

I thought the description said it was assembled, but I was skeptical anyway. Turns out it was unassembled. When it arrived, the box was fairly heavy (the UPS guy took it inside for me -- nice man on Christmas Eve!), and I pushed it to the room where the desk would be used to assemble it. All the necessary parts were included, even an Allen wrench so that was good, and no cams like with IKEA furniture. I only needed my Phillips screwdriver to put the pencil holder on the desk. But it took 2 people to assemble it, so be aware of that. If I had done it alone, it would've taken me hours to do. Luckily, my daughter was visiting so she helped, and together we ladies put it together in about an hour. Not bad. The directions were pictures only, so you need to decipher them. It was fairly easy for me to do because I'm an assembly veteran!The whole thing fits very nicely in the space I allocated for it. The desk top is very sturdy, and it tilts high enough to make diamond painting easy on my neck and back without an easel. It's plenty large too. My 16 x 20 canvas fits both ways with loads of room to spare. The drawers are just cloth, so you won't be able to put very heavy things in them, but scissors, diamonds, glue, A4 light box, etc. fit just fine. The shelf on top of the drawers is made of the same material as the desk top and lower shelf, so that part is quite sturdy and useful. I have a secretary chair, so I don't use the stool, but it's nice for an extra seat when my granddaughter comes over and wants to watch.Overall, so far I am very pleased with the quality for the price. If you're looking for something stylish for cheap, go for it.

I've been using this desk since 2017. It has lived in two different apartments and been used frequently. I really like it, though it isn't perfect - I cannot stand the cheap fabric-y material of the side shelves, two of which have collapsed over time and no longer sit/slide correctly. But other than that it's really fantastic especially for the price.The surface angle is easy to adjust, though these days I mainly use it flat and use it as a standard desk. The stool it came with was solid and lasted for years without issues, though I eventually replaced it with a normal swivel chair which was a great upgrade (it's hard to sit for hours at a time without any back support, after all). Other than the stupid shelves it still looks great, the pink color pops in real life and there's also a ton of space underneath for spare paper, a printer or whatever else.This is overall one of my favorite purchases, it's well-made and durable and has so far withstood the test of time. I just really hope that they consider making those shelves a little less...sucky.

This is great for our art student kid. She loves it and uses it daily. Sturdy and very useful drawers and storage options. The table top gives a lot of room but the whole thing doesn't waste a lot of floor space. This is a good solution.

This was easy to put together, I did it myself in about an hour. The height works great with my existing chair and the stool was a bonus.

This is a great unit for the limited space I have available. It came well packaged, and in great condition. The assembly instructions are just numbered drawings, but the intent is very clear. It went together easily in about an hour and everything fit perfectly. The assembled unit is very solid. The drawers have limited storage space, but the shelf underneath is big enough to hold a couple of bins. The hinge mechanism is simple, but seems solid. I like the design and am using it daily. Very nice desk.

De momento no le he dado un uso tan intenso como a mi otra mesa, pero ha demostrado ser cómoda, práctica y resistente. Después de montarla y usarla las primeras semanas puedo asegurar que bajo el uso adecuado será una mesa duradera y confiable, sobre la que podré trabajar durante mucho tiempo. Además no solo la uso para dibujo, me permite hacer muchos otros trabajos e incluso es un soporte más que óptimo para mi mesa de luz. Estoy muy satisfecha con la compra que he hecho, y no me arrepiento en absoluto. Su tamaño también juega a su favor, ya que me ha permitido incorporarla en un espacio relativamente pequeño, no sin mover todos los demás muebles antes. Aunque me la esperaba un poco más alta, el hecho de poder elevar la parte de arriba subsana todos esos males.Mis únicos "peros" son la escasa robustez de la cajonera, que al ser los cajones hechos de tela personalmente no se me presentas capaces de contener todos los materiales que uno utiliza en una mesa como esta. Por otro lado, y siendo muy exquisitos, la banqueta, que a pesar de ser un puntazo el que venga incluida, no es mi gran amor, y aunque venga acolchada no es cómoda si uno va a estar trabajando ahí sentado durante un mucho tiempo.(Todavía tengo el culo entumecido).Bueno! Ya veremos a la larga cómo se comporta.

Great desk!! Looks exactly how pictured. Sturdy except the drawers are fabric so not sturdy but we knew that ordering it. The only downfall to the drawers is there is nothing to stop them from coming all the way out when you open them, just something for the kiddos to be aware of. Easy to tilt up and down and 9year old got the hang of it immediately. Over all super happy with it!!!
