I got this to replace an older system by a different name. I love the larger monitor, which turns off at the touch of a button. I paired my old cameras to this system easily, except for one camera which would not pair. Customer service was all but useless. The system is great and I love it, but it's different than my last system which had more options, such as in video playback, where I could go up to 32X speed and backspace 30 seconds at a time, on this system, it only has 8X FF speed and no backspace option. I have to slide back and try to find the time I'm looking for. Sometimes when I resume play, it isn't at full speed. it's slow, so i have to start over. The backup works. On the cameras that came with the system, they have flood lights, and the settings for night vision make it unable to work inside a window. I used to put tape over the red lights and fix a black piece of plastic garbage bag to the window around the back of the camera area to get rid of window glare, and I had a nice clear (gray) night vision view. On this system, affixing cameras inside the window, because of the built in lights, the old way won't work. I had to set them for daytime only and adjust color and brightness and I have a color night vision view. It's darker than the old gray night vision view, but hey, it's night time and it's in color. There has to be sufficient street light for this to work. It also resets itself every hour. All the cameras go off and reset, and if something happens outside at that time, it will be lost. I hope this was helpful. I'm glad I got it, would get it again, but like everything, you have to figure out how to make it work for your needs. It has paid for itself numerous times over already.

We're new to a camera system. Our goals were (1) stand-alone ability, (2) ease of install/use, (3) fun (we have mainly animal visitors), and finally 24/7 (essentially ruling out solar). We installed it, and played with it. Met all our goals! It someone is not sure, downloading the manual is a good idea .. in color, extensive, and step by step. Unusual! This system uses the fixed focal-length cameras. We also tried the one with optical zoom. Even better, especially following animals. We'll probably install another one.

Hard drive stopped working after 3 years. Purchased a replacement hard drive but it was not recognized by the system. Looked into cloud storage but cost is $56 PER channel annually which is not worth it. Disappointed that I basically don’t have a working system after spending $300+ after only 3 years.

The monitor and camera system works very well. Very nice upgrade from my previous Lorex system. Great customer service! Very bright and clear images!!

I’ve re evaluated my review. I had some trouble with the hard drive not working. But on contacting Cindy at Cromirc, we’ve been able to rectify all the problems. Customer service here is very good. She took care of everything and issued a refund for the new hard drive. Now I can’t complain at all. Thank you, Cindy. Good job.

Great system for the money. These days you have to have one to keep an eye on your home.

I use it for home security it’s a great products nice and clear a lot of details motion human deduction i’m really happy with this product
