Worked as anticipated after new backing plate was sent by Meguiar's
Got the Meguiar's Professional Dual Action Polisher and a bunch of the different 7" pads. Unfortunately, they would NOT stick to the backing plate that came with the DA over 3,000 rpm like they are supposed to for the cutting compound to be used. Meguiar's sent me the 6" backing plate for the DA and they stuck to that like glue. I put all these pads I used right in the washing machine and they came out like new. I did purchase a Meguiar's Cut N' Shine 8" Wool Buffing Pad to use on my old rotary "grinder" in case I have to do deep scratches again. (All this was for a 2005 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor that I got from the auction and had to buff out.) Also, if you're using Meguiar's 205 and wet sand with 1,200 to 1,500 or greater paper, like they say to do, it will be MUCH easier to get the scratches out. I used some 3,000 and sanded in a straight line (not swirls) and I did get a nice smooth finish. Just remember to tape off the hard corners and where the body parts meet so you don't grind the paint off! And, yes, I am talking from experience!!! I used this pad with Meguiar's 105 finishing polish.

Great product.
I bought the Meguiar's DA polisher and wasn't sure which pads to buy or use but these came in the suggested products when I added the polisher to my cart so I read the reviews and checked out the Meguiar's website and found this is exactly what I needed. Don't be fooled by the front and back picture of the pad only one will be sent to you. If you are going to be using this pad with swirl x I would suggest having 2. The clean up is very easy, it does say machine was able but I just used a mild soap and it rinsed out great. Waiting for the second pad to add to my collection now.

Did a nice job. Question mark on durability.
I bought it after I was impressed with the same pad that came with my G110V2 Kit. But this one ripped itself off (at speed 6) from the white adhesive backing after buffing just one door. I was in the middle of doing the second door when this incident happened. I have to think that the problem of Meguiar's foam pads ripping off is still not yet completely solved. Having said this, the pad indeed does an excellent job at buffing and polishing. The question mark is ONLY on its durability. I promptly received a replacement from Amazon and I was able to finish my job over the weekend without any further undue interruptions. The replacement pad didn't rip-off even after I finished buffing my Odyssey completely. So, one pad out of three failed. So, it could either be a defective pad that I got or may be the design still needs to be looked at, as even the two pads that survived have a good amount of aberrant vibrations in all directions at speeds 5 and 6 - the same aberrant vibrations that finally resulted in the pad getting ripped off from the white adhesive backing.

Very very good for polishing
Very very good for polishing. Have tried playing around with different combinations and results are great. Used with Ultimate Compound, and it gives light cutting which is great for swirl removal. With Meg's White Wax, it makes my paint smooth and clean it up pretty well.

Still like this pad vs. others!
I'm a professional detailer. I own almost every pad brand, 3M Perfect-It, Lake Country, Meguiar's, Griots garage. I use these pads with the Meguiar's backing pad that comes with their DA polisher with no problems and great results. This pad is great for removing Meguiar's Synthetic Sealant 2.0 and for applying Meguiar's Ultra Finishing Polish. I wouldn't use these pads with other backing plates(Astro Pneumatic type which I own) because the back of the pad will cup over time, loosing grip. Even my Lake Country pads cupped after using my Astro Pneumatic backing pad. I've washed these pads by hand, in the wash and I've spun them on my Meguiar's polisher and never had a problem with the Velcro separating. Stick with the Meguiar's backing pad with any Soft Buff 2.0 pad and you'll be happy.

Easy Buff
I use this soft buff to put Meguiars wax on my truck, which is big. It takes all the work out of waxing my truck.

not all that
The Meguiar's buffer system takes a lot of getting used to because these pads are hook and loop attachment. The hook and loop (Velcro) is not very strong, and it is glued to the foam. This means 2 things... the pads will fly off and have to be constantly re-centered and reattached while you're working.. and once they get hot the glue lets go and then you need a new pad. This is very poor design for a buffer system that costs $150 for the tool and $0 per pad. If you can get past those limitations, you will get a well buffed car.

Single use only?? Ripped first use
I love meguiars products, so I thought id try their buffer pads. The pad worked great while applying D151, but it separated around where the backing plate meets the pad after the first use.Hopefully this is just an anomoly and Meguiars will replace the pad. Ill update my reveiw accordingly.

Meguiar's products are the best out there
I was lucky enough to get the full setup - polisher, The 3 stage creams, pads and cloths. What can i say - the transformation is incredible. I have a 2 year old Lexus GS with quality paint and i thought it was clean and had a deep shine, until I used this and it proved how wrong i was. It produced a glass like gloss and removed all the swirls. Application is easy (watch the YouTube videos for advice) Due to the pad edges being very flexible you can get to all the awkward areas such as behind the door handles. Their products may be a little more expensive to buy but i think they are worth it. A very happy. I had used a cheap polisher before with poor results - don't waste your money on these.

Brilliant
Use this all the time on both a rotary and DA. Prefer to use above some of the more expensive pads. Starting to show signs of wear now but I have polished approx. 7 cars with it. Will use again without question.
