5 seperate leads for advanced thermostats needing the C wire
Although I purchased this spool of wire damaged, there was very little of the actual that received any damage at all. So for me with most of the damage on the spool itself this was a great value. Plenty of wire to allow me to replace the old existing 4 lead that was installed in the 70's and run it through the attic to the outside where my all-in-one unit is located. I can now install my new Honeywell Smart Thermostat and take advantage of new features that my new Heat/Air unit will support and forget about keeping extra batteries on hand for when my old thermostats display would go out. Appears to good quality wire and the external sheathing is supposed to handle extremes in hot or cold temperatures. I have enough wire left over that I could replace the entire length again if needed.

Good Wire. Quality
I had a HRV controller that I wired in with 1000Mhz Ethernet cable thinking that using such high quality wire was overkill if anything. To my surprise, it caused problems. So I pulled a whole new run through the attic with this stuff and, like magic, all problems disappeared.

Quality T-Stat Multiconductor Wire
Bought because I needed to replace my legacy t-stat two-wire cable with one that included a blue "C" or common wire for WiFi controlled unit. Both the jacket and individual wire insulation are good quality, strip easily and resist abrasion by cable staples. Solid core CU wires are somewhat hard-drawn making tham a little stiff - but that was no problem.

Great price for this thermostat wire
I needed a lot of thermostat wire to do new work in a large old house. This was a great answer. Same brand and length roll at local home store was $25 more. Shipped fast and same and well, its wireโฆ No issues. Wire was easy to pull, it is 5 conductors of 18gauge solid copper. Easy to cut and to strip. No issues. Just remember is it is small size solid copper wire, DONT bend the wire too much or put any major bends or kinks in it or you risk breaking the wire inside the insulation. TIP: For the above reason, smart electricians pull thermostat wire with extra wires in the bundle. In case over is broken you have at least one spare. In a long wire pull, you do not want to find you dont have enough good wires to do the work or over time if one fails you do not want to have to repull the wire. I needed 3 wires each for my 6 smart thermostats on my zoned hot water boiler system, so I pulled 18-5 with 5 wires. Smart and good insurance that you can make it work in the cold if you lose a wire. Would I buy again? Yes I already did. I needed two more rolls to do the work.
