I believe it’ll fit well. I have friends with both shapes and they use Smith helmets without any issues. **Q: How is this helmet for somebody who has a ponytail or bun?** A: With a ponytail, it would probably work okay. The rear strap falls just below the little "bump" in the back of the skull. You might need to swing the ponytail to one side.
