After Blon released the BL-03, many have looked for the 03 mark 2's. For me, this is it. They are the smaller, lighter, more detailed and less bloaty version of the 03's, for not that much more.- Comfort is much better for me, the slimmer and lighter profile makes for a better fit and feel for a long time- Sound quality is just better. More detailed, but still maintains the decent V shaped sound- The cable and tips are meh, I don't think they're a deal breaker, but they're not the best in terms of included accessoriesI tried: Bl-01, BL-03, Tin T2, Tin T4, Starfields and a few more, but I choose to keep these. The Starfields do sound a bit better, even if a bit bland, however I simply cannot justify the price increase for the small jump in quality and drop in fun

Blon BL-01 is great and has a better price to performance ration than BL-03. I'm pleasantly surprised.It's warmer than BL-03, smoother and has a very safe tuning. Nothing screams at me and it's a bit thirsty for power asking for more volume. Decent technicalities and details which I really didn't expect knowing it has a Bio-Fiber driver.It's not my preferred tuning, but it works with trendy genres and sources like YouTube, hiding the poor quality of the mixed songs for a joyful experience.Major disappointment in the tuning choice because I can see an amazing potential that is way above what BL-03 can do. It has a beautiful and organic tonality which doesn't benefit at all from the warm mid-bass and the subdued mids making it to lose a lot on resolution and clarity which unfortunately is way below BL-03 for this reason.If they are smart they will release another version with just a change in the tuning just like Moondrop did with Kanas.

First of all, a word of caution. The included eartips in this pack (in common with all Blon earphones) are pap. I can't get a good seal with them and I'm not alone - Head Fi forum is full of tales of bad fitting eartips. So budget for a set. I've used Misodikos because I had some literally in front of me when I opened the package. I'll probably do some tip rolling later but they're fine.Packaging is standard IEM fare. A few packs of eartips and a detachable cable. A small bonus is a canvas earphone bag. Nothing too fancy but it keeps them separate (I've over 30 pairs of earphones so could do without a tangled mass).These drive amply well with a smartphone and do not require an external amplifier.The main concern though is "how do they sound?"I'm pleased to report that over the shout and unnatural sounding BL05 these have had the stridence taken down a notch. The treble on Oasis' "Definitely Maybe" album is unlistenable on the original 05 but on the 05S it's sharp and crisp without being fatiguing. The frequency response is very wide on these, there is a lot more range on the top and bottom than on many earphones, from the lows of Lady Sovereign's "Love Me Or Hate Me" to the highs of Dresden Dolls' "Coin-Operated Boy".Everything is presented very naturally in a large, 3 dimensional soundstage. Frequency response isn't quite flat but the mid range is a lot less recessed than on much of the competition.These are really good all rounders. Up there with the very best that can be had for the price.Except - if you listen to heavy metal. Heavy Metal is a difficult genre to reproduce well. You need to have the detail and separation to hear what's going on and where all the instruments are but at the same time you need enough heft to really drive the music hard. You also need the bass to not overwhelm the rest of the music. Quite a tall order.Yet these bad boys absolutely manage it. The pale green colour may imply that these sound their best with saccharine pop, but appearences are deceptive. From Slipknot, through Metallica to Cradle of Filth, these are honestly the first earphones I have heard that beat my home separates with massive wharfedales for metal. They even goaded me into listening to Rammstein.If you want an all rounder these are 5 out of 5. For metal it's 6.66 out of 5.

Arrived quickly, everything as expected. Fit is the best I've ever had (small ears) and they're very secure. Sound quality is excellent and I've already enjoyed listening for several hours at a time with no discomfort. I did replace the cable supplied, but more for aesthetics and convenience than the effect on sound quality. I'm still using the supplied tips but I'll probably try foam at some point (no rush because silicons are fine).

Absolutely love these. These were my fav for bass untill I hears the 03 model. Nevertheless the 01 are still brilliant in my opinion.
