Ok I guess. To me, the screen is attached to the wrong side. when you flip your paper out of this mould and deckle, the screen cannot make contact with your felt. they give you extra screens, only one of which i would ever use (the others have WAY too big holes, so your paper comes out with a "screen" texture).It's possible to use, but I'd rather pay a little more for something that's put together correctly

Yes this come pretty flawed since it has a large gap from the screen and the screen was very loose. However it comes with more screens so I just tightly stapled one of those flush and now it works great. Not too much extra work for a well priced item.

I liked that this frame came with dried flowers and a sponge, but it has a fatal flaw. There is a lip around the mesh side of the frame that makes the paper pulp stick to the frame itself, making it very difficult for the paper to come off of the frame. I would recommend going with a different version.

Came apart after making 12 different papers for my class. But was still able to use, just had to be extra careful. Not bad for price.

Cheap materials

This mold and deckle is not designed properly. First, it is not appropriate to have a hinge in all the most common ways to use this because of how you need to transfer the wet paper to a drying sheet after making it. So I easily removed the hinge. Second, the design of the deckle (the mesh part) is completely wrong. You are supposed to have one side where the mesh goes OVER the frame so you can lift the wet paper off onto a sheet for drying. You’re supposed to take the mold/mould off, then just place a drying sheet on top of that and flip to remove the wet paper, carefully allowing the wet paper to adhere to the drying sheet. However with this mold & deckle set, there is a lip of frame on BOTH sides of the deckle so you can’t press the drying sheet to the wet paper to remove. There’s no way to remove the wet paper from the deckle. DO NOT BUY THIS.Or if you do, plan on completely disassembling it to use the parts to re make it. I ended up just using the extra sheet of mesh to make a new mold and deckle from two picture frames.

I used less than ten times before the frame fell apart. The nails used to put it together were too short, and the glue did not withstand contact with the water. I have attempted to fix it with my own tools, but I have to be very careful with how I hold it. Poorly made and not worth the money

Screen is flimsy and saggy when wet pulp is scooped up.
