How does he microphone work?

Our toddler grandson -- 18 months old -- loves the microphone and is able to operate it easily.

Would this be fun for a 3 yr old?! Or he is too old for it?

Yes, probably better than a 1 year old.

Does the microphone record?

The Microphone does not record. It is only used to sing in while the songs or keys are being played.

Received this as a gift and can’t get it out of demo mode so half the features don’t work. How is this done? The instructions are very vague.
