It's a nice, large, easy to stain, well shaped box. It feels weird leaving a review on a wooden box, but it's a good box!They also take a good effort to secure it, and it arrived at it's location very well packaged and unmolested by the travel. It's been shipped a few times now and it still looks as good as it started. It took the stain very well and was smooth and easy to wood burn as well.Overall, next good sized wooden box needs would be a return buy for me!

This box is really nice! Not only does it feel very sturdy (the sides are thicker than a lot of the unfinished wood boxes I've seen), but it's actually nicely aligned and squared up, which is unfortunately unusual with a lot of similar boxes.I'm using it to make an orc treasure chest for LARP, but I will probably purchase more to make other kinds of boxes—it's just a really nice size and weight, looks beautiful, and takes stain nicely. (Any uneven staining in the photo is my own lack of skill!)

Updated:This box is pine not walnut. If you intend to finish with stain be sure that you sand it well, progress through to at least 240 grit, use wood conditioner, then stain. Softer woods like pine need proper conditioning. Took it down to 3 stars for the false advertising.Original: I think that for the price it cant be beat. It is sturdy enough and the wood is thicker than on other boxes. I was able to do a turquoise inlay on this using a Dremel, crushed turquoise, and some epoxy. Would use it again if I needed to have another box!
