Fun exercises to practice phonics. Not too much hand writing which my (Homeschooled 1st grader) daughter loves about this book. This and the word families are her favorite. This has more thorough practice and better activities than its kumon equivalent. (We use that one too but it seems too easy for her.)

It cycles 1 to 8 for each vowel and the reputation just helps it click in my sons head. It slowly gets harder as it goes and I'm just so proud of how smart my son is with this book. I ment to start with word families first but couldnt find it for a moment. Word family is a little easier but my son had no issues jumping into this book. I'm so happy and proud of him

This book is great to be used for extra practice.
