NO,It will stick firmly to the toilet until you tear it off.

Q: How thick is the cushion?

I bought it, but don't use it. My 98-year-old mother does. But as far as I recall, it has some cushioning inside, but it compresses when pinched or sat on. Seat cover is primarily for softening a hard seat, or warming up a cold seat. I wouldn't say it provides as much cushioning as other products such as gel-type cushions.

Yes, this toilet cover can be washed and reused!!!

Q: How do you install this pad?

I used two sided tape, cut the tape to fit the back of the pads, it stayed I place great. I put pads on a rise on my toilet seat following hip replacement surgery,they help cushion the hard plastic, only used one pair, the pads hold up well, great product, but they should come with sell sticky backs, this would have made installation easier.
