This is my first experience using these heads. The look and sound quality is excellent witht the EMAD system.

work great on 16 in. kick
I have been playing 16 in. kick bass drums for years and only with in the last several years has more options started to show up-this head is a nice choice.

Control
I have a cheap pearl roadshow with an 18” bass drum. I originally just put a Calftone on the batter and left the factory pearl ported reso on. It was okay at the least. I ordered the emad Calftone and swapped the heads. Now two Calftone tones, one emad, reso without a port. Low end and loud in comparison, tune to G1 as before. Don’t hesitate, upgrade.
