Great for pottery, especially unglazed cookware and taglines. This is a solid product made of cast iron. One side has a protective coating (wipe off); the other side is cast iron ( I coated it with vegetable oil as with any other cast iron product). It also has ridges for a butane stove which keeps it from shifting.I’ve used it with numerous pots and it maintains an even heat, prevents scorching and keeps your pot warm after cooking. It will not warp over time. A great camping addition.

I bought this after hunting high and low for a kitchen tool that would allow me to use my 3-cup Bialetti moka pot on my gas stove. This product definitely delivered on that promise - it is sturdy and the size looks to be universal to fit most gas stove tops. The material is definitely solid (seems like it is made from the same material as the gas stove's rings), so I don't think I'll have to worry about it warping from heat. It is a little more expensive than some of the other heat diffusers out there, but I think it is well worth it.

I bought this heat diffuser to try to solve problem I was having getting my Bialetti coffee maker to work nicely on my gas stove. With the gas flame it would either splatter coffee all over or not brew at all. The heat diffuser was exactly what I needed - it takes a few minutes longer for the cast iron diffuser to heat up, but once it does, the coffee bubbles out beautifully, no splattering. I'm happy!

Took some effort to connect the handle. It is rough and unfinished in appearance. Fits on all gas burners, and once you fiddle with it a bit, it eventually lands on a stable level. Tiny saucepans are stable on this

This is the perfect gadget to assist with simmering sauces or keep items warm on a gas range without boiling or burning. It was delivered quick, of fairly good quality and sits real well and stable on the gas range top. I would buy it again.
