Excellent product, makes docking and maneuvering so much simpler. The product is solid, feels of quality with nice heft. I’ve purchased cheaper models in the past, those where plastic and didn’t last…take ur dad’s advice (you get what you pay for). In this case he’s right again.

Well made, but don’t fit my Boston whaler 190

I've been using this knob for 2 years, about 300 hours. I couldn't be happier with this product. I was skeptical at first because this knob is so expensive. The quality of this product is well worth the price. The clamp has never loosened and the bearings are amazingly smooth.This is definitely one of the best upgrades I have ever done to my boat. I will never go without one of these again. This knob makes pulling into a slip so much easier sine it only takes seconds to turn the wheel from lock to lock. It may not seem like a big deal, but it makes all the difference when maneuvering the boat into a slip.It takes a little while to figure out exactly where to line the knob up on the wheel. It took me a few trips to get it perfect. I adjusted it for slow maneuvering at the slip, then found that it wasn't a great location for cruising. I compromised somewhere in the middle and now it's perfect.I was a little concerned that where I put the knob would not be comfortable for my brother or father who use the boat regularly, but that was not the case. It works perfectly for all of us.

Bought this for close quarters maneuvering with my Boston Whaler 130SS. Crazy money for a "suicide" knob but it works great. At low speeds (docking) rapid steering changes are much easier than before. It does have a heavy feel to it that is a little more than I would like. At higher speeds the small wheel on the Whaler makes using the Power Knob harder and I usually switch to the wheel at those times. Installation was stone stupid simple. Overall it seems to be well made and durable. Glad I got it.

High quality and heavy duty steering knob. Steer clear of the $20.00 cheap imitations.This is the real deal and worth every penny.

I put this on my Glastron GT 180 boat having a wood grain covered steering wheel. I had a hard time getting the clamp over my wheel and into the bottom part of the knob, which resulted in my steering wheel being chewed up and basically trashed by the clamp. Eventually, with much time and energy spent bending the clamp with some extra tools I had, I was able to get it on the wheel even though it said it fits up to 1 1/4 size wheels, mine is 1” and was super difficult to install.

All of the blogs said if you are adding a power knob, this is the one to get. It's expensive but absolutely worth it. Well made, fits various sized wheels and includes the wrench to install it. It looks great, has ball bearings on the shaft, built to out last the boat and is a compliment to the helm on my Grady-White.
