Q: The watch says it was first available in 2003 and it also says it provides illumination for 20 years. So the question is What year the wade in?

The Smith & Wesson watch was first released in 2003, and was a really nice watch good enough to compete wit& Wesson watchh Luminox watches. The H3 Tritium will eventually burn out and stop glowing as did a watch when first released which I bought at the beginning. The Smith & Wesson watch now only has tritium at the 12, 3, 6, and 9 positions, which is a disgrace. I will never buy another Smith watch.

Q: What is the max wrist diameter? Are there extra links?

I doubt I could do a really accurate diameter measurement. The band is that kind that folds and latches but doesn't truly open. When folded, the latch is 1+1/8"; each link is 5/16" and I have 14 of them. Looks like it came with 18 and I removed 4. Oh, then there's the watch itself which is something like 1+11/16"
