Best ever
This is the best book of the whole series. It is so well written, that you feel the emotions of the characters in the scenes. I loved it!

Fun Fantasy
Wasn’t sure I was going to like it at first, but I just purchased 2&3 in the trilogy.

such an amazing series
Such an amazing series. Every step of the way the world is woven in amazing clarity. Piece by piece everything laid out, you are constantly in awe by the intrigues that are laid out. I am not sure about you but usually within the first couple of pages I have the whole book planned out in my head as to how it will go and I find that I am constantly surprised by this book even though you would think that I would have grown accustomed to it by now. Ok and on to this particular book. The book like the others were well written. It starts with the Alaya being tortured and Emrys and Sade are trying to find her. She escapes and you would think that everything would go up hill and it would be a happy reunion and they would conquer all of their enemies and live happily ever after. When does anything in this series happen that easily and neatly. When they are reunited, he says I love you, she stabs him for example. Ok so there is more to it than that. But what a teaser right? Truly though, I love them together. I love their story. About as much as I hate Sylven. The ending I found very fitting and satisfying. Anybody else think that Lady Isoni wasn't going to see the end for some reason though? Glad that this is not the end of the universe though and look forward to seeing it spin into a new story.

What a great finish to a thrilling and engaging series! Loved it! :D
Worldbuilding was great, as I'm starting to expect from the author, the environments and scenes were really well written and very clear without going into too many details. Which is nice, since it gives your mind some leeway to imagine things as it wants to.Character development was good. Emrys and Alaya don't have it easy, seriously... not only do they seem on opposite sides (or... not?), they still have to face all the lies and mistrust between them, never mind the growing feelings they have towards each other. It felt good to have things come to a conclusion between them, even with all the twists and turns.Pacing and flow were really good. The book can be seen as the waves of an unruly ocean: they grab you, pull you under, sometimes let you up for a breath of air before pulling you back deep down. Which, believe you me, is a good thing ;-) Well, okay, maybe not as good for my sleep or the day after *shrugs*The book itself was well written with no (noticeable) errors.I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book and all in all I'm really happy how this series turned out! Would surely recommend! And the best part is... this wasn't the last time we've heard about this amazing world, nope, more stories/books are inbound (yay)!

satisfying conclusion to the series
I had seriously high expectations going into this one, and it did not disappoint. The opening was dark, as expected based on the abrupt ending to part 2. I liked how this book revisited characters and themes from earlier and in some places brought closure, in others brought new light and perspective. This is the final war between two parties and there are no easy decisions. The conflict was expressed on all levels from personal decisions, to parties within a side making decisions, to the larger battle affecting them all. I would have liked to see a little more conclusion to the story - there was nothing to be seen after the battle but dark, and a possible reason for that was given, but was there sight after the battle? It was a long book, but the pacing was good. There were parts where I could hardly flip the virtual page fast enough and parts I slowed down to savor. It was a satisfying conclusion to the series and had all the elements I was looking for and all my favorite characters played important roles. This is the conclusion of a trilogy that starts strong and builds to an epic conclusion. Start from the beginning and enjoy! This is an honest and voluntary review of an ARC

Wasn't ready for an ending
I love, love, love this series. As much as I wanted to see how it ended, I hate for it to end. I love the characters and how you were able to see things from their point of view. I love the detailed (but not too much so) world building. I really enjoyed the fantasy world that was developed and would like to go live there. I feel like over the 3 books I watched a group of friends grow up. I can’t wait to read the spin offs and see if these characters make cameos. I received a free copy and am leaving my honest review.

The Empire of Empty Wars
A fantastic read, This series grabs you right from the beginning and keeps you inthralled from start to finish. And is fast paced and action packed this is an epic read that the scenes are written so well that you can picture them in your minds eye. It had me on the edge of my seat. There are twists and turns everywhere. This is a real page Turner. If I could give it more Than five stars I would. I definitely recommend.Shauna Joesten

Great Ending to the Series!
I received a print copy of this book from the author to review. This in no was affects my opinions or rating. The epic conclusion we were all waiting for! I really liked that Alaya was always humanized and had limits. She couldn’t always do the rescuing, sometimes she needed her allies! The battle scenes were entertaining and not overly-detailed to the point of being boring. The humor and sarcasm was highly enjoyable and the twist at the beginning was very exciting and well-written, hints and foreshadowing building the tension and anxiety until the big moment. I did spot a few typos and grammatical errors, but other than that, this was an extremely satisfying end to this epic series!

Totally excellent
Fast paced action, suspense, magic, dragons and a villain. All qualities required for an excellent read. So glad I brought these three books and highly recommend them to readers who love this genre. Enjoy...I did
