Perfect fit and feel
After agonizing forever on which grip to get for my DSC-RX100 III, I finally settled on this one and even though I cannot compare with the other products out there, I'm very happy with this purchase. I love it because: 1. It's comfortable, fits perfectly, looks seamless with the rest of the camera, even has "Sony" branded on it so it looks like a natural part of the camera. 2. No plastic or rubber smell. I can always tell the cheap products because they have that horrid plastic/rubber smell that I absolutely detest. This has no smell and the material is great quality. It has a slight give to it and is textured, giving it a very nice and secure feel. 3. Super easy to apply - just clean the surface of the camera (clean with a bit of alcohol to remove oils that can prevent maximum stickiness and wipe with a microfiber/lint free cloth), peel off the sticker on the back to reveal the adhesive, push it up against the base of the lens and line it up the upper line on the camera (just as shown in picture). It covers that entire right/lower part of the camera so you can't go wrong. Hold and put some pressure to warm the adhesive and get it to really stick completely. Done. 4. Really does make it easier to pick up because now there's a little lip you can grab onto to pick it up or when pulling it out of the camera case. Also makes it much more comfortable and secure to hold because now you have something to hold onto instead of relying on pure grip force against the slippery camera body. I do agree that Sony should have included this with the camera from the start. My DSC-HX50V came with one already on it - so I don't understand why the RX100 III wouldn't have it on - but, I am grateful that at least they provided an affordable option. My best guess is that the HX50V, with it's 30X zoom is obviously going to be a more outdoorsy kind of camera - so they added the grip for more "ruggedness". But the RX100 is a more refined device and not necessarily outdoorsy, so they wanted to give you the option of adding the grip. As you can see even in these reviews - some people don't like having the grip and prefers the way it comes. So it may be great marketing choice for Sony to be providing their customers with the option. After all, after spending so much on the camera, spending another $14.00 for the more rugged grip shouldn't be too big a deal.

A Vital Accessory for Sony’s Tiniest Camera
A common comment, if not complaint, about Sony’s CyberShot RX100 series of digital cameras is that the cameras are so small, and their surface finish so slippery, that it’s difficult to hold onto them when you’re trying to take pix or videos. I find that comment completely accurate; I always felt that I was on the verge of dropping my RX100M7 every time I fired it up, even though I had the wrist strap wrapped around my hand. That is, until I installed this Sony AGR2 Attachment Grip. This minuscule piece of black plastic improved the whole character of the camera in meaningful ways. Its slight bulge at the front of the camera, and its textured matte-finish surface, combine to provide both a little more bulk to grab onto and a little less slippery area to do so. Together, the result is much more secure handling. Installation is simple and straightforward, and the grip fits the camera perfectly. The adhesive sticks well, and I scrupulously followed the instructions, which caution: “Adhesion is not stable for several hours after attaching the attachment grip. Start using the camera again about one day after attaching the attachment grip.” By not using the camera for more than a full day after I installed the grip, I assured that it’s as secure as it will ever be; it feels like it’s molded right onto the camera (I didn’t try to pry it off, of course!). The adhesive will likely eventually dry out in the arid desert environment where I live. If it does, and if the grip falls off some day, I hope it doesn’t leave any residue on the camera that would make it difficult to install another one. Other reviewers complain that the camera with grip doesn’t fit into certain cases, and I’m sure that’s true. But the WERJIA Hard Carrying Case (ASIN B094N6GXCV) that I purchased holds the camera with grip with no problems at all. Whether or not Sony should have included this grip in the box with their pricey camera can be debated, but, since they didn’t, this add-on makes a great camera even better. Sure, it’s a lot to pay for a tiny piece of molded plastic, but the resulting improvement in the camera’s grippability and handling is well worth the price. I enthusiastically rate it at five well-deserved stars.

A Must-Have Grip for Better Handling and Comfort
I recently purchased the Sony AGR2 Attachment Grip for my Sony camera, and it has significantly improved my shooting experience. The grip is comfortable and adds a lot of stability, especially during handheld shots or longer shooting sessions. The build quality is solid, and the grip feels secure and ergonomic in hand, allowing for better control and reducing hand fatigue. It’s also lightweight, so it doesn’t add unnecessary bulk to my camera setup. Attaching the grip to my camera was quick and easy, and it fits perfectly, providing a snug fit that doesn’t interfere with any of the camera’s functions. I noticed a big difference in my ability to hold the camera steady, especially when shooting in low light or with longer lenses. Overall, the Sony AGR2 Attachment Grip is a simple but highly effective accessory that I’d recommend to any Sony camera user looking for better handling and comfort. Pros: Comfortable and ergonomic design Easy to attach and secure Improves stability and control Lightweight and doesn’t add bulk Cons: None so far

Great Function High Quality Accessory
Bought this for a RX100 III because the stock design is a bit too minimalist and not functional enough. This adds a small rubbery grip to the right side of the camera where it is normally very slick and metallic. It feels like a good quality product and fits perfectly against the curves of the camera. It looks very natural like it was built on the camera and for me it adds to the design. The installation was as simple as removing a wax back from the adhesive and applying the sticker to the camera. I didn't do anything fancy, I just lined it up and plopped it on. It seems to hold pretty well although if you apply it fairly lightly at first you do have the ability to adjust it perfectly into place before really sticking it to the camera. I think it is a great addition to the functionality of the camera without adding a lot of bulk like a case would. For the $15 I paid I think it was a decent price for what it is and the quality but I had to reduce the review by one star because for the price of these cameras and the price to make these grips, I think it should have been an included accessory. I know a lot of people might not use it but I think a lot of people would and it wouldn't have had to become an accessory for profit considering how slippery the camera feels in the hand. People may not feel this was enough justification to reduce a star but I think it is. Although I think it should have been included, I definitely recommend this at it provides much needed grip for this camera without adding bulk. The price could have been better but I have seen other more fancy and custom options for twice as much.

Required accessory
This simple accessory is a must for the Sony mini cameras. The camera has a slippery finish and this little rubber like pad provides positive grip and also a little bump to better hold the camera. It really should be factory installed for such an expensive camera. Shipping is fast and being made by Sony, the fit is perfect.

Looks great, perfect fit, nice tactile grip
As others have written, I really think this should have been included with the camera. (But I do understand that some people setup the RX100 with a vlog bracket that may include a handgrip.) And it's a tad expensive for what it is. Beyond those complaints, it's perfect! The tactile grip of the rubber is excellent, the fit on the camera is perfect, and the attachment tape is very secure. And it certainly adds a major improvement to being able to hold the camera securely. Can you remove it if you want to? Yes. My first RX100M7 had some electronic defects and had to be exchanged for a new one after a couple weeks of use. I was able to gently-but-firmly pull off the AGR2 from the first camera and apply it to the new one. Before actually removing it, I was thinking I was going to need to replace the tape before putting grip on the new camera. (I've got appropriate tape for that, so no prob.) But I was pleasantly surprised to find that the original tape worked just fine on the new camera. The tape did leave a tiny bit of residue in a few spots on the defective camera, but they cleaned up pretty easily. It might have been a more difficult process if AGR2 had been in place for, say, a year. But for this situation, it was pretty simple.

Get a Grip! Big Results in a Small Package
My first reaction to this grip was surprise at how small it looked in the package. I traced around it and took measurements that are shown in one of the attached photographs. My rough measurements were that it is about 1.5" x 1.7", with the larger number being the width at the widest point. The grip comes with a peel off backing covering the sticky back of the grip. I aligned it on the camera by pressing against the side of the lens and then squared up with the rest of the camera face. The camera front edge curves down and the grip shape matches perfectly. I was pleased with the installation first try, which is good because I doubt that it could have been pulled off. I think it looks fantastic. It looks like it could have been original equipment. The picture of it on the camera is rather dusty. It's been in use outside. I really like the feel of this grip. It matches the small grip on the back of the camera. It adds a little security with sculpted edge. It doesn't interfere with any of the camera operations. The craftsmanship is beautifully detailed and functions well. I believe it was a good addition for this camera.

A must
Fits well, great grip for one hand holding. Minimalist grip keeps the camera small still. Happy with this purchase. Adds no weight to the camera. And great for the money. Easy install. Looks like it belongs on the camera. Doesn’t look out of place.
