6 Pack AQUACREST Brand RF-9999 for Pur RF-9999 Faucet Water Filter

I've been using these filters for quite awhile. However, I ran out and bought an original filter at Walmart for &17.50. From the first filling it was obviously not filtering and stunk. After a couple regityings and washings, I gave up and ordered these again. They were here in two hours and cost half the price. I am shaking my head. Two thumbs up here. Water tastes fine and is clear.

These save a few dollars over the original filers and they seem to work well. They do not last quite as long as the original filers, but they do work.

I bought 3-4 shipments of these. At first I felt like they were a good value. Great fit and seemed to work just as well as the actual ZW filters. Eventually I realized that these filters were lasting about half a long as the ZW filters. They tend to clog and filter VERY slowly after about 4-5 fills. Also noted by all of my family that the water did eventually take on a fishy odor and a strong metallic or bitter taste after about a week of use. I didn't notice these problems consistently with every filter and the time frame varied between each filter, but the problems always eventually showed up. I would honestly say were lucky to get 5-6 gallons of filtered water from each filter on average before it practically stopped filtering or the odor and taste faltered

Produces good sweet water but sometimes it doesn’t drain well and you have to use a pin to get it to drain

I don’t even know about how the TDS works on this. But I changed from my brand name zero filter to this one last night. And over the course of 7 hours only 1/2 the water was filtered through. I would suggest trying another off brand.**editAfter some trial and error it finally filtered. Now that it works properly I do like these filters. The TDS is 000 with the zero water checker. Not sure how long it will last. I have super high TDS in my water so the filters only last me about a week. It’s too expensive to keep buying name brand. So I’m hoping I’ll get about the same life for this filter. Over all, I’m happy.
