Yin Yoga: Essential Poses and Sequences for Balanced Energy

I love this book, I have had it permanently in my kindle unlimited library since it was first released, I decided it was about time I bought it.The practices are on a double page so easy to glance, my one negative is that the asanas are drawn but show advanced/ intermediate poses, I am not a beginner so not a problem for me, but a greater description is needed for beginners and correct prop placement.

The sequences are nice, but there's not much depth to the explanations.There is no list of benefits to the postures, and sometimes its hard to understand the posture.

I liked very much the book to start my Yin Yoga journey

When I ordered this book, I was looking for a resource to better understand Yin yoga practice - and this is my "gem of info"! Having participated in two different Yin yoga classes, with two different instructors, I quickly realized there are various interpretations of Yin. Depending on the instructor for their instruction, I experienced an injury! Rather than being upset, I decided to learn more about this stress-reducing and relaxing form of yoga for myself.Thankfully, Amazon accepts returns after other books I ordered were not useful for me. However, when I read the description of the contents of this book - and the reader's reviews - I decided to give this book a read through.As soon as the book was delivered, I sat down and quickly went through the contents, reading about poses I was familiar with. What I was immediately impressed with about the information was the alternate poses that a student can attempt if the described "class pose" doesn't feel comfortable! Oh, how I wish I had read this book before participating!The information in this book is VERY easy to understand and apply to yoga practice!

Such a beautiful book!! If you love yin yoga and love yin sequences, buy this book! Not only is it a fantastic book, the illustrations and the colour of the book is just so easy on the eye. So glad I treated myself to this little gem :)
