Iconic album cover designs
This is a lovely book, 12" x 12" so it sits nicely with your vinyl collection and I'm sure it includes the story of the sleeve design of at least one of those albums... From 1977 to 2019 Bill Smith (and Bill Smith Studio) produced more than it's share of iconic album sleeve designs - this book highlights just a few. The Jam, The Cure, Genesis, King Crimson, Led Zeppelin, Queen, The Rolling Stones, Kate Bush, Sigue Sigue Sputnik and many, many more.It includes the thoughts of many of the project photographers including Gered Mankowitz, Andy Earl, Andrew Douglas, Martyn Goddard and there's the recollections of the artists themselves with contributions from Toyah, Thomas Dolby, Paul Carrack, Tony James...It serves as a lasting testament to one of the busiest design studios from that golden era of record-sleeve design studios. Recommended.

Great Coffee Table Book
This book is an interesting journey through the art of album cover design by Bill Smith Studio. The book tells the stories behind the concept and realisation of the album sleeves of acts such as; The Jam, Kate Bush, Genesis, Toyah and many more. It is an excellent book for anyone with an interest in design, photography, illustration and, of course, music.
